Patriots Ticket Exchange Acting Wacky This Week

I got the website to work yesterday afternoon (two tickets in Section 227) which leads me to believe that there was a website problem before the Lions game.

And it still bugs me the way the woman in the ticket office talked to me when I called to ask what was going on. She was initially very rude and eventually blew me off and hung up abruptly when she had to know that the website was malfunctioning. She should have just admitted they were having problems and apologized for it. She didn't have to lie about it.

I knew Kraft should not have hired that company that created the Obamacare website to run the ticket exchange.

LOL - Something is definitely up. Just looked again today and it won't let me buy anything. Sucks for us wait listers

Just for the heck of it, I just tried buying more tickets (a single in section 129 and a pair in section 336) and it let me get to the "Purchase" screen, so it is still working for me.

I tried just to see if I had the same experience. I tried for both the Miami and Buffalo games and the reCAPTCHA screen works fine, but I receive the "You exceeded the time limit and the tickets have been released." I hope this ends up working for the playoffs.

EDIT: I just tried again for the Miami and Buffalo games and it is letting me buy tickets.

Still messed up. It still feels like there are bots grabbing the tickets and then throwing them up on stubhub or some malarkey like that. I've had no problems in the past.

P.S. I am aware all I do is complain about the exchange.

In jan 2012 I was probably on the ticket exchange for 20 hours one week looking for tickets to afc champ. 4 hours a day for 5 days.. Typing in the stupid words..

I finally got tickets

See...if you are dedicated enough...you will get tix

I think this is the way it's going to work from now on when there's a small amount on there.
I think we will be fine by the end of the week.

I see 1 ticket available on TE right now for the game.

I'm trying to buy 3 more for my brother and I'm getting all kinds of errors when I try to get to the "Buy" screen. It looks like he may be stuck using Stub Hub for this game, which sucks, since a lot of those tickets are probably getting bought up from the Ticket Exchange. :)

EDIT: Well, now it's down completely. I click the "Buy" button on the opening screen and get sent back to an error screen. It's too bad the Patriots have to rely on ticket master to manage this webpage as they don't seem to be doing a great job of it.

It's back up. I just bought 4 tickets.

Way to go Zoidy!!!

I went through this a few times, and I got an honest (though not overly technical) answer from someone at Ticketmaster:

Essentially their software for the ticket-exchange isn't meant to handle >10 tickets with 1000+ people trying to buy them. It can't handle large demand/small supply. So multiple customers are clicking "buy" at the same time, and it can't recognize which one is "first". So, multiple people are in the purchase funnel for the same tickets, which causes the system to kick everyone back out and try again (and it may do this dozens, or hundreds of times) before it gets 1 person properly recognized. That's why there will occasionally be a set of tickets that sits on the exchange for hours, even though you and everyone else is repeatedly trying to purchase them.

But their response was ultimately the same "Nothing we can do about it, just keep trying".

But I would wait until Fri/saturday, as there are ALWAYS tickets on there.

Last night between 9:45 and 10:30, approximately 150 tickets showed up on the Ticket Exchange. I was frantically clicking away hoping to get 3 or 4 tickets to that check out screen but I fell short over & over. The biggest PIA is that if you get to the screen where you login and find out that someone else already bought those tickets, you get kicked back to the reCAPTCHA screen so you have to waste precious seconds frantically clicking at the keys to get back to the selection screen. Those few seconds can cost you that one chance you had to get tickets.

It really sucks.

It took me about a half hour of trying before I finally ended up with 4 seats in section 201. I also had the same issue of having to keep redoing the reCaptcha screen. I finally got lucky and was able to purchase them. Must have clicked on them 20 times.

I got online about 9:40 and it took me until after 10:00 to finally get them. I was surprised to see how many tickets were up for sale. Had been checking off and on all day and not seeing any. Guess I was lucky!!!

150 showed up? wow. Yep other teams returns then. So tuesday night is the night....

Assuming there will be more.
In past years that 201 section seemed to get released in the beginning and then 323 and 324 would show up followed by the lower ring of the 300's. This used to happen on ticketmaster before they started releasing them first on the exchange.
I assume there will weather casualties too.
