Have you heard the news? Tomase now on EEI.."not to be a fan!"

Anyone who listens to Felger surrenders any right to ***** about Tomase, Borges, Shaughnessy, and every other Boston media member with regards to honesty, integrity or radio/television quality, IMO.

There is no correlation between Felger and Tomase. None whatsoever. Felger is a contrarian who says things to get a rise out of people. Tomase is milk toast with his opinions and is hated because he looked to make a name for himself by writing a slanderous article accusing the Patriots of something he had no proof of that tarnished the team. Two completely different things.

Of course you are just turning Tomase into the same thing to fit your agenda against 98.5 and their listeners.

No, there's only one reason for that: the stupidity of the New England sports talk listeners.

For someone who declared Jamie Collins a bust and that he will always be a bad draft pick because the Pats took Tavon Wilson in the second round the year before and Collins didn't fit an immediate need, you should not be questioning the intelligence of other sports fans.

Nattering nabob of negativity.

98.5's popularity is the reason Tomase is employed by WEEI? Really?!? Apparently, Adolph Hitler was not available because he is probably the only person less popular in this town than John Tomase.

The management of WEEI weren't so stupid to make moves like hiring ratings poison like John Tomase, 98.5 may not be as popular as it is. Yes, this a way to keep up with 98.5 is to drive people away from your radio station to go to the competition.

Of course anyone who doesn't agree with Deus on his listening choices are just stupid.
I think the idea is that WEEI has seen the contrarian 'footie pajama homers' suck thing work for 98.5.

Another moronic move by WEEI's management. People love to hate Michael Felger. People want to listen to him to get outraged. People just hate Tomase. No one cares what he has to say and they just will avoid him like the plague. People hate Felger and Borges because they insight people with their opinions. People hate Tomase because he submarined the Patriots with a bogus rumor he reported as facts.
To be fair, Borges did th same thing with them in 85 with the whole drug thing. Although I guess it turned out not to be false. :)

The difference between Borgey and Sluggoboy is at least Ron has a set between his legs. Jabba the Hutt's forgotten "mistake" is ,at best, a eunuchcorn.

But Tomase is as much of a contrarian with an edge as Okily Dokily Dale Arnold. He isn't hated because he is a contrarian who tries to push buttons of the fan base. He is just hated.

If WEEI wanted their own Felger, they should have hired Borges. Borges doesn't have the radio finesse of Felger, but at least he knows how to push the fan base buttons.

Very well said, and I remember that Baltimore game too - I was living there at the time. I forget the
PBP broadcaster, but Tony Kornhole was the anal-ist. His blatent cheerleading with Shula for a Pats
loss is the reason that I have watched not even one minute of PTI on the 4-letter network from that moment onwards.

"There is phrase that English Majors like to use and its 'tragic inevitability' and as you watch this, you watch the Patriots get closer and closer and closer and they get a reprieve on every fourth down just like they did there. How many can you get?"

--- Tony Kornheiser. You could hear the sadness in his voice as he said this, while the Patriots were marching on.

Back then, there were 13,000 people in the stands and the Giants were as much as the home team here as the Patriots. If someone wrote a similar column today, they would get the same hate that Tomase got.

Besides, the Globe in that case delayed the story until after the Super Bowl so it wasn't a distraction the day before like Tomase's piece in the Herald.

I thought I remembered it coming out the very day of the game, but you're right, they held it till two days after the game. Supposedly they had it before the AFC Championship game. So, there's one difference between the Globe and the Herald for all you Globe haters. They had a legitimately sourced story and held it till after the game, the Herald had a story that was ********, and didn't hold it. :)

It's pretty easy to see why they hired him.

All those negative comments he is gonna get are still considered pageviews.
I'll just tweet the show until he cracks up...or they ban my account...in which case I'll write the corporate bigs and threaten them for censorship (B.S. I know...but...attack the giant with enough bs arrows and eventually a couple of them will find the target).

Apparently, I'm blocked from tweeting his account and i know i didn't swear or anything. Think I called him a disgrace, which is nicer than what i really think.

If he needed pity he should go to a different market and actually start fresh.
If he attempts, in any way, to cruicify the Patriots again he will, and should be, run out of town. If he thinks he can be a contrarian and have fun creating controversy concerning the Patriots-he's done. Learn how to be a "fan boy" or the bile of hatred left in your aftermath will be your undoing.

You're leash is extremely short John Tomase native of Mansfield and graduate of Tufts. Right the wrong or face the wrath.

who's is this guy everyone hates? cliff note please?

And right there is talk radios # 1 problem -- I don't listen to have my buttons pushed or to be insulted, flamed, belittled or mocked by uninformed ahole radio " personalities". Felger and Maz top the list and I do not listen to them.

I want to listen to sports talk, actual sports analysis without the circus that is the majority these days.

So, I'll listen to satellite NFL Radio and tune in when actual sports people are in the airwaves either as a guest host, guest spot or even the few real hosts.

I listen to EEI. I'm brand loyal. Old doggitis I guess. I cannot stomach Benz. I refuse to listen to anything before 10 am. I like Danny Picard on Saturdays. I detest the "teacher" and can tolerate the preacher. The "teacher" freely admits he was a Red Sox fan and then switched to the Yankees. If I had my kids in his class I'd pull them immediately and ask the school board why an admitted treasonous weasel is teaching KIDS his surrender monkey, Quisling values.

The other station gets about 10 minutes a week from my ears. Gasbaggarotti makes me want to puke in my mouth.

Calling, tweeting, protesting, foaming at the mouth with the station President ........ won't work. It's a 50% full glass to a station, lots of interest, the guy is a lightening rod, good for ratings, blah, blah blah.

Calling the companies that advertise, without listening to the program (especially on the computer) ...... may work. It may work quickly too. Tomase lost his ticket in this town.

Anything which is a living and not a dying body... will have to be an incarnate will to power, it will strive to grow, spread, seize, become predominant - not from any morality or immorality but because it is living and because life simply is will to power... 'Exploitation'... belongs to the essence of what lives, as a basic organic function; it is a consequence of the will to power, which is after all the will to life.- Nietzsche

Let us endeavor so to live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.- Twain

compassion is the basis of morality- schopenhauer

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury
Signifying nothing.

you forgot Chairman Mao and Rasputin, James. As a message board philosopher you would make a terrific MickeyD's burger flipper. On a good day I'd bet you could flip 20 in a row, eh?

thats very kind of you, jeff

i just think they are good quotes

if i dont have a video by the super bowl......ill admit im a phony......and im sure you wont forget
