It's official, the Rex era is over in New Jersey

This is all started, because I simply said that Rex will always have that playoff win over Bill. This is a Rex Ryan thread, there is absolutely nothing nothing wrong with that statement. I guess I was wrong, assuming that you guys would remember the 2011 playoff game. But the other statement.,. I stand by it.

I'd love to have Rex here as DC. Especially if it convinces Revis to stay here (Revis loves Rex). Matt Patricia sucks anyway and can be dumped or demoted.

Will ATL really consider hiring him? a guy who got lucky and took a team to two AFC champ games? Julio Jones will love that...

Look up the second half stats lately dumb ass. I guess that has nothing to do with him though. He is just some chump. How many points did barfalo put up in the second half against a scrub, vanilla defense. That must be since they are so poorly coached right? How do you sleep at night without choking on your own drool?

I am going to miss rex, he made the rivalry more fun. That being said I hope the jets do something funny and hire lane kiffen or something

Not so fast that Rex is out of NJ . Rumor he is being considered for DC with the Giant..

Are you implying Matt Patricia is a better DC than Rex? Give me a break.

Rex will be back in the circuit soon

I think I am actually gonna miss Rex...he is obviously a good defensive coach and he gives us fits, these are givens. That is all history now though...

...in the end however he DID have to kiss the rings . The hoodie has a lot of respect for him so that is good enough for me.

I don't anticipate he will be out of a job for long. Chicago and Hotlanta sure could use him...

Patricia will function in a BB run organization, Rexy can't get his ego under control. I don't see him being able to subordinate himself to BB.

Points allowed;
Year / Pats / Jets
09 / 17.8 / 14.8
10 / 19.6 / 19.0
11 / 21.4 / 22.7
12 / 20.7 / 23.4
13 / 21.1 / 24.2
14 / 19.6 / 25.1

Hmmmm, I see a trend with one of those teams. Up up and away with TWA or the points allowed by the Jets under Ryan.

Do you think rex' style of defense would be run by a BB coached team? Give me a break.

Run along moron, the adults are talking.

Since Matt Patricia took over the DC job, the Patriots defense has outperformed the Jets. Thats a fact. Look it up.

The only evidence otherwise is Rex Ryan telling everyone how good he is.

Rex thinks he's special against the Pats but he isnt, oops, I mean wasn't. Every coach before him during the B&B era had multiple wins.

In 2014 Ryan's team gave up 165 more points than it did in 2009. That's 23.6 more touchdowns plus extra points in 16 games. Or to look at it another way, that's 55 more FGs in one season. Yeow!

I don't think these numbers tell the whole story. The story of an offense so bad that they turn the ball over constantly. The Patriots offense has been operating at a historic level..The Jets offense has been putrid.

I totally agree. That was the most devastating non-SuperBowl loss in my opinion.

Not even close to the AFCCG vs Manning where the Pats had a huge lead at halftime only to piss it away.
Had the Pats held on, Manning would have zero rings and the Patriots a 4th ring against a weak SB opponent.

How about these?
