How is Adam Shefter always ahead of Mike Reiss ??

Tom Brady never ceases to amaze me.

And lol at the idiots insinuating that he would 'hold out' because he was getting paid too little.

So can Brady be cut at any time now with no cap penalty?

We are very lucky to have this guy as our QB I hope when his decline eventually comes that we the fans remember. I realize that he and his wife have more money than God but still a lot of guys wouldn't take a nickel less then market value . Toms father must be very proud

It will be interesting to see how Florio can manage to spin this into an anti-Brady thing and deny that the QB seems less concerned with his paycheck than the team's success. I can't see anything Brady gains from this, all it does is free up cash for the Pats.

He'll probably blame it on Kraft and the Pats being cheap making Brady take a pay cut.

Well this just frees up future money to allow for future guaranteed money to be used from what I understand. It did not effect the actual cap hits scheduled for Brady. I still am not confident Brady plays for only 13M. I will say however that not changing it now when you are already changing the contract anyway might indicate Brady might not care about raising it.

OT, but regarding that graphic, how is it POSSIBLE to have a 4.2 GPA?

Honestly, you're not the 1st to point out mistakes, It's not meant to be a biography. Just making a point That the guy isn't a thug, seems to be the exact opposite actually.

I am not sure but I think so.

He has every reason though (injuries aside) to be confident that Garoppolo won't take his job any time soon. If he honestly plans to play out his current deal then is no pressure to trade him for cap reasons.

Am I wrong to think Brady did something for the team besides what he does on the field every week. This means he is a total team player, but then we knew that already or some of us did.

The most selfless (and favorite) athlete in Boston since Larry Legend. This guy gets it. If BB doesn't capitalize now, then get the pitchforks ready ;)

There will still be the charge for the unamortized signing bonus. But otherwise, there will no longer be a charge for the $24M in new money that would have been guaranteed.

Schefter has serious connections. Really dumb way to rag on Reiss.

Why would Brady give up his last bit of leverage to not be cut? So that Kraft frees up some money in escrow? That doesn't make much sense. 24mil ain't much for a billion dollar team.
