Why do you intercept the ball, and decide to come out of the endzone? instead of the 20, you get the ball on the 3...

I don't think he could just kneel. I think he had at least 1 step in the field of play

His momentum while running carried him back into the endzone

edit: As Collinsworth just explained, he could've been tackled in the end-zone for a safety

And if the Ravens don't lose at Pittsburgh next week? Doesn't help the Patriots much, does it?

For what it's worth, I highly doubt that Pittsburgh could go to Denver and win anyway, with their piss poor secondary which is the biggest weakness on their team. They couldn't cover one of Manning's options, let alone four.
True, but Baltimore is in even worse shape with their secondary.

Who has the best chance to beat the Broncos? Probably Cincinnati, again. If they win tonight they're home vs Baltimore, and then could play Denver in a 2-3 seed game. If they lose they would play at Indy, and then probably be at New England. That would leave the Steelers-Ravens winner at Denver.

The other side of the coin is what team gives the Patriots the best chance of winning? I would say the Colts, but I don't think Indy will beat whoever loses tonight's game even though the Colts would be at home.

Ok, it would have been a safety

Oh, I get it. it would ahve been a safety if he got tackled in the end zone.

Lots of fair points by everyone.

I learned after both the 2007 and 2011 seasons that rooting for the "best" opponent doesn't always work out, so at this point I'm going to do two things:

1) Root for N.England

2) Root against Denver, Seattle, and Green Bay

At the end of everything, we're going to have to beat 3 very good teams one way or another. For the record, I do not share your same optimism that CIN could beat DEN twice in two tries. I think we're going to have to beat DEN again in order to go the SB, although I certainly hope that someone else knocks them out first.

If the Ravens win they play us. 6 vs. 1 and (4 or 5) vs. 2

I cannot even fathom the thought of loosing to Pit or Den at home. I would become depressed for months.

However, the AFC looks rather weak and I fully expect to be playing in February.

I guess when push comes to shove, I'd probably like our chances vs. PIT better than the odds of beating DEN twice (and 4/5 times with Manning there).

If that's going to be our reasoning, then I suppose we are stuck rooting for PIT to beat all 3 of CIN, BAL, and then DEN--which I feel is almost impossible for them.

Let's worry about the Pats next opponent when we actually know who it'll be. Hoping for one team to beat another has not helped in recent history and has led to utter disappointment for the fanbase. I'm just going to enjoy the ride and hope the Pats are lifting the trophy on 2/1/2015 whether it's against the Panthers or the Seahawks.

I am trying to cheer for Pittsburgh, but somehow I just can't do it....

7-7

This game is going to be tough on both sides. Winner gets Baltimore at home, loser goes to Indy.

Cincy looks like they have come to play

Give me the scenario that brings the Colts to Gillette. I'll worry about the opponent in the AFCCG when the time comes because, while I don't think the Colts have a prayer in hell against New England, the other 4 teams are all capable of beating the Patriots.

He had his nose broken and kept playing! Not a dog faker. Rapist maybe yes but dog faker?

You're obviously not familiar with his work. I live in Pittsburgh and hear all of the stuff much more than I'd like to.

We're talking about the guy who claimed that he played with broken ribs in the SB, only to have his coach come in and make fun of him for being overly dramatic. Also, how many times has he lied there on the field like he was half-dead, only to never even miss a snap? Don't you remember in CLE when they had to cart him off the field, yet he returned just fine? Wasn't it on a stretcher, or am I just getting all of my "Ben is a total wimp/faker" stories confused?

Doing anything with a broken nose is not really that difficult once you get past the initial tears that flow + the blood. I've broken my nose twice in hockey and continued to play just fine.

Pre-mature snappage, I think we have all been there

Both these teams are ehhh

My wife may tell you that "we've" been there way too much over the years, although she is a very biased party.

If Rodgers wants to hang out the ground then he gets stepped on. Oops sorry about that mr. Doublecheck. Maybe hans and franz can help you massage your little girly man calf muscle.
It seems like all you do is take L's

Dalton is garbage, I can't wait for him to be one and done with a horrendous performance again.

Martavis Bryant has 8 TDs this year WTF

This draft was LOADED with WRs and we took Jeremy Gallon
