Saturday night baby...is my vote...Football Night in Canada, sounds kind of weird but it means that I can bring the booze along for the ride!

Bring on the Chargers...

Its the latest game and they'd be getting the least amount of rest for a potential AFC title game. If he doesn't mean that then I have no idea.

They got more rest last year and it did nothing for them

Does anyone know how much tickets run for in playoffs? Still itching to go to my first game. :(

Best bet is stubhub a day or two before game...longer you wait...cheaper they will get

sounds like the hookers on Boylston after 4 am...

Please elaborate on our friends to the north and their "Football night in Canada" booze toting rules. Thanks.

I'm guessing that the Chargers get in as well.

A win vs. either PIT or CIN would bring them to Foxborough. The first game was a tightly contested one, unless you're somehow excited/confident about Mike Scifres being out this time.

I believe in the past when we had the #1 seed, we have played both Saturday night and the early game Sunday.

Playing Saturday would give our opponent a short week with travel time.
Anybody have a guess, when we play?

I assume it's not a complex formula for making the playoff schedule:
(A) The game with the most potential viewership draw + (B) the time/day slot that will have the largest pool of viewers to draw from - (C) fitting the various venue/time zone/logistics into A and B = the NFL playoff schedule. ((again I assume it is that simple)).

The Patriots can ultimately play #4, #5 or #6 seed in the divisional round game (no Broncos for sure). If I was to guess I would say the big game matchup draw would be Pats vs Steelers. And if that matchup occurs it probably makes it the top AFC scheduling priority for the NFL. Expect the NFL to do what it can to work it into the best ratings time/day slot (unless the NFC produces a bigger 'draw' matchup).

The NFC is gonna get the divisional round Sat night game this year. For the first time since God knows when, I think the Pats will play a 1pm Sunday divisional game, unless the league wants them early on Saturday?

Saturday Night is Hockey night in Canada...which means the NHL is on just about every Canadian TV on Saturday night. Usually Canadian beer and whatever else you got is also involved with friends and family cheering on rival teams.

So Saturdays nights are normally reserved for the NHL up here, which also happens at my house, but when my Patriots are on they trump all else, even the World Badminton Championships.

Now that Baltimore squeaked in I ain't too interested in seeing them...I would like nothing better than to beat them into submission. I hope the midnight oil is burning these upcoming weeks for the team in Foxboro that is responsible for getting info ready on them. Got a hate on for that team big time...

Doe we play the 4-5 seed winner or the team with the worse seed--the 6th. The latter wd be fairer, but I think it's the former.

I heard Tanguay on the post game show and he said he's hearing rumblings of a sat night prime time game for the pats

lowest remaining seed.

Got what I wanted. I bailed on a Saturday wedding. I would a looked like even more of a douche if the game was on Sunday. I'll be screaming my head off at Gillette.

odd since that is probably the worst slot for ratings

now I'm rooting for Pittsburgh tonight and next week. If they win both, winner of Indi/Cinci comes here with one less day to prepare.
