Seahawks look scary

Off topic (and don't try to assassinate me, T meets K) but when you get real mad, Julius, do you turn orange? could be some ad bucks in it for ya...o_O

there are a lot of realist in this thread. You guys should've seen the Bronco forums before the Superbowl (and even in week 3 this year). They disrespected Seattle pretty hard.

I will say that I and many other Fans feel like Percy Cancer was the reason why this team struggled so hard in the first 6 games. We were not running the ball 50/50 and we lost our identity. Also there were many reports of Percy Cancer starting mutiny against Wilson and punching Gold Tate in the face etc.....

Since Percy Cancer left this team has played tremendous.

I think the bronocos are 1 and done this post season and it looks like the AFC is going through Boston resulting in a NE vs SEA superbowl.

Good luck, hopefully it will be a good matchup.

Also high powered offense's is not how you beat Seattle. Its Defenses that stuff Lynch and pressure Wilson. This is what i've noticed under the Russel Wilson era (on how to beat Seattle).

uh...let me just give you a warning, Seahawxx...do NOT go to ANY Rats (Jets) board and expect to be met with any kind of rational, good natured fan banter. They are convinced that Harvin was a "STEAL!!!!" and that he's the Jets best receiver and sure All Pro next season, no matter who the QB is. All you'll get is death threats, homophobic slurs and insults to your intelligence.

I could never get mad at you J.

I would like to see Brady shove it Sherman's face after the "You Mad bro" stuff from 2012. But I'm mad for symmetry, so there you go. Embarrass us in the regular season, we pay it back in the big game. :) Even Steven.

My team is better than yours. Go away. :p

The interesting point @Seahawxx is that generally, the blueprint to beat the Patriots and Seahawks is out there. The reality is the ability to enforce the blueprint is generally where it falls down.

Wow. Isn't this all a little premature?

The Patriots and the Seahawks are both far from having clinched SuperBowl berths. I'm still trying to figure out who the Pats will play in the Divisional round....

Against Wilson, I can't shake the feeling that Defensive Ends or OLBs are of incredible importance when collapsing the pocket. They must maintain the edge at all costs and force Wilson to scramble up the middle. I could live with Wilson taking on Wilfork and Siliga/Branch up the middle given there's nearly 700 pounds of Mordor there.

Agree, pressure and actually bringing him down on FIRST contact is vital

Yeah why do we care about a potential super bowl matchup. Two huge losable games the team will need to win to get there, even though New England will be home and favored. Who cares about what's happening in the NFC.

I look at both teams as the most complete teams left for the playoffs, and when both are executing it's gonna be tough to beat either.

But that blueprint is similar to how the pats get beat. Tom is pressured and the offense isn't able to score enough to win. They rely on the defense then, and our defense hasn't been able to close a game out until this season.

Honestly if it's a Seattle pats super bowl, it's gonna be fun but man stressful. Seattle is the best team left in the nfc

The only real threat that I'd see would be Green Bay and their offensive power.

No way DAL beats them twice in one year. ARZ and the winner of the NFCS are two more pretenders.

That leaves DET, and that would be ugly as well. It's really GB or no one.

I actually am most interested in having Arizona bounced from the tournament. I think it would be patently unfair to have the Super Bowl be a home game for one of the teams.

Google says 36 minutes travel time for Super Bowl XIX.

The 1984 season where Miami had to travel to Stanford to play the San Francisco 49'ers.

Obviously didn't turn out very well for them! SF had a clear and decisive home field advantage.

#1 Seed at stake and boy are they looking scary so far today.

In fairness they have a 189-61 (edit: 300-60) advantage in yardage, so theyre doing what they usually do there. turnovers are doing them in, but thats uncharacteristic for them.

Yes, It appears that Pete Carroll has designed his team to beat the "Prototype NFL team"
Prototype NFL team includes 1 HOF QB, solid weapons for him to throw and a defense that isn't usually that great but every now and then will have a very good year and ride them to the superbowl.

Under Wilson when facing HOF QBs (Brady, Manning x2, Breese x2, and Rodgers x2) is 7-0.

But if you watched them play vs the Rams the offense was completely shutdown. Due to Carroll not investing a ton of money or draft picks on the line they are vulnerable against elite d-lines like the one the Rams have.

If the rams had a decent QB they probably win. (7 of our 20 points was a defensive score). Erase those 7 points its 6-13 game.

You don't need a elite offense. One that is mistake free and can score enough to win and a defense that gets crucial stops. Seattle and New England are the team that have that right now. Obviously these 2 are the favorites, let's see who makes it.

This conversation is really irrelevant the Pats will win the SB with 2 things no matter WHO they come up against:

a) Give Brady time, he'll shred ANYONE to pieces. Not asking for a world of time but just enough so he can actually set his feet, which is what this pathetic o-line hasn't been able to do apart from a small stretch this season.

b) Don't give up 60 yard, 3rd and long passes like every Pats defense has in key situations since 07. Does anyone really think those Seahawks receivers scare Revis and Browner? CHILD PLEASE.

I'd be scared of Wilson's legs more than their receivers, but i'm pretty sure the most athletic LB in the NFL playing spy on him would do the trick ;)

Oh and i was gonna add a little c but didn't want to go overboard but here it is anyway: GRONK MUST BE THERE!!

Seahawks may not have outstanding receivers, but they certainly get a lot of playing time each week in practice lining up against the league's best secondary, enough to know how to make plays when they count. Seahawks receivers won't put up the stats, but they do make big plays. Its not as if the Seahawks receivers are intimidated by a former teammate, and Revis whose on par with Sherman.

Rams are a divisional opponent and always play the Seahawks tough.

The Jets also played the Pats tough this season, its not a knock on how good the Pats are.
