Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon suspended again

Can't judge, what kind of motivation a Browns player can have? I would throw a 3rd on him, you can't get a talent like him on the 3rd round, BB can't even in the 1st, and we still have a need for a guy like him.

ok a 3rd is risky, maybe conditional I don't know, or throw another player in the package, but I think there is still a chance, this suspension seems like a dysfunctional FO pretending they have rules and are rigorous. The players must be laughing. They benched Hoyer for Manziel with playoff still on the line, what a joke of a franchise the Browns are.

I read on Twitter that supposedly, the suspension vacates an accrued 3rd season toward Free Agency for Gordon. Unlike the Browns to be sneaky bastards.

Eventually Cleveland is going to have to move on from him, right? I'd have no issue with the Patriots looking to bring him in via FA or trade.

Manziel is also getting fined by the Browns. He, apparently, showed up late for treatment.

Pull of a Randy Moss trade 2.0 - Late 4th rounder for Gordon, they cost would be 1mill NeXT year. Should he leave Again after a year, then Pats ( Probably ) would get a high comp pick back.

Four Of the last five Cleveland first round picks were: Justin Gilbert, Johnny Manziel, Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson. Could be a brutal run of busts.

God gave him talent. He also gave him a prick to piss it away.

He chose the latter. Shame.

BB does not want, or even need, a dumb troublemaker. Moss was never dumb; and his reputation was blown out of proportion by the Mediots.

OTOH, This jackass needs a year or three in a minor league football program, or working at Mickey D's, without money or attention to make him grow up, if it's even possible.

When should I apologize to the draft forum over my Manziel evaluation? :D

"A more talented Wilson" sure, if we forget everything above the neck.

I don't think bb wants anything to do with Gordon, but I do see bb making a call to old friend O'brien after the season about a certain wr. We have two 3rds to send to Houston.

As @ausbacker mentioned, this means Gordon plays in only five games this season.

A player needs to be in six games to have an accrued season.

That means Gordon will be a restricted free agent rather than an unrestricted free agent next year.

That means Gordon is going to lose an opportunity at a big payday, and be under Cleveland's control. I can't imagine that they would want to keep him for 2015 considering these circumstances. The Browns will sell him to the highest bidder, pending an appeal from the NFLPA. Supposedly Manziel missed the walk through as well, though there is a difference in that Gordon was going to start and Manziel wasn't going to play. Still, the union may contend that this was done so the Browns could retain his rights for 2015.

Manziel... how did he manage to fool so many experienced, savvy NFL personnel people?

The average working stiff Joe the football fan could see this clown was a snotty little entitled rich kid punk besides being a bargain basement, cheap knockoff Romo clone. I posted my opinion on him THIS season this past summer. My belief was as soon as he hit an NFL field in a real game he'd be bashed like a pinata at a Hell's Angels jamboree in the Sturgis S.D. Rally. Now look at him, a few hits and he wants his champagnee baba...punk. See you on a rag cover in the supermarket checkout line, Johnny Foolsball.

I recommend the Jets look into acquiring him.

This is a rare opportunity to get an elite WR without the massive contract. We all know Bill will never sign a guy like Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas, etc. in their prime in free agency - And neither would we spend a 1st round pick on a WR. And with our history of drafting at that position, I'd be kind of worried. A 3rd round pick like I originally mentioned is probably too high, but a 4th sounds reasonable.

Gordon's got a good case on the accrual issue
