Dennard to IR, Boyce to 53

Good for him. He was a mess in the preseason, so simply being active is a sign of major progress.

That would be dissapointing, but I could see it happening.

Knock on wood, Revis/Browner/Arrington is our CB trio for years to come. After that though, Ryan really hasn't shown he can be a NFL man CB and Butler is a D2 UDFA. We could improve depth for next year, although it's not a top priority.

Disappointing that Ryan or Dennard haven't stepped up this year -- the 'developing a legit cb' slump continues.

I'm very happy with Arrington as the #3 guy now though, so hopefully we do keep Revis/Browner/Arrington together for 2-3 years.

Clearly the deepest roster spot on the team. No problem to the team in the playoffs.
Too bad for him. He still offers some depth for the future. Could grow into the slot role over time.

Spoke to several DBs about Boyce's progression on practice squad. Said he's given them a great look and has clearly improved route running

I still have hope for Boyce. We also released Cam Henderson from PS and re-signed Dax Swanson, presumably for some CB depth in case of injury with Dennard gone.

BB never ceases to amaze with his roster moves. Hated to lose KT last month but if Boyce whom I was not high on, has really grokked the offense he is a different type of WR than the others. Make it so!

I would really like to think that. Honestly, I would. But isn't it more likely we've simply lost a better player to IR?

I think that make Boyce just the smartest and best WR in a room full of...well....you know.

Sure, but if Boyce is the same guy as he was in August and still was promoted that is a serious indictment on the rest of the practice squad.

It means that Edelman and/or LaFell is likely to sit. That's about all it means for certain. Everything else is just reading tea leaves.

BB always manages the bottom of his roster this way. Dennard was probably going to miss at least a few weeks & they needed a WR tomorrow. This speaks louder that Edelman/Lafell won't play much, if at all & Dennard wasn't in the Pats plans; so the move became a good excuse.

Edit: Just saw post above.

Lord god in heaven. If Gronk is held out too it will look like preseason game 4 with a smaller roster.

Definitely didn't expect this to happen. Speaks to our depth at CB, also I guess Arrington is mostly ok now.

Am carefully excited about Boyce. I hope he can use this chance and surprise everyone with some meaningful plays.

That's exactly what it'll be... Bills have top roster talent out too. Dareus and Gilmore...

Darius is a huge loss for the bills.

I am hoping Boyce plays really well.

Perhaps he tore his hamstring in practice yesterday?

Perhaps they made it up.

Strange year for him; goes from two interceptions in the divisional round and starting in the AFCCG to barely playing this year, struggling some and now ends on IR.

Hope he comes back strong next year.

Was hurt. Came back. Got passed on the depth chart by a similar player who plays STs. Couldn't adjust to slot DB.

With one year left on his deal, seriously doubt he'll be back. Ala Ellis Hobbs III.
