Glad to read that you draw the line at issuing death threats
That was an example, of HOW fandom is taken to seriously. That's not where I draw the line . But regardless fans are sometimes. We take Sports way too serious times.

I don't let the Jets success (or lack there of) affect my personal life, I personally don't care if other fans, who have zero financial investment in their teams, laugh at the Jets or Jet fans. I find it sad and embarrasing, that fans of other teams, take fandom THIS seriously and the fact that posters such as you resort to personal attacks, because I root for a team you dislike is extremely dissapointing. I'll continue to support the Jets, regardless of how good they are. Why? Well, because I enjoy football, a sport which I played for nine years, and I love studying/watching all 22 tape, offensive schemes, plays, defensive schemes, techniques of DB'S, draft prospects, and most of all rooting for the Jets. One day we'll become relevant and good again, and I'll make sure to enjoy that day and time period, but until then I'll continue to root for the team I've been supporting for all these years.
Is that Gyrmrat I smell?

You know "fan" is a derivative of "fanatic", right?

You give him too much credit, R 12...he thinks Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of moonshine. Maybe when he finally gradjeeates to 4th grade they'll break him in on those new fangled polysyllabic words his granpa/uncle used to bellow out at the 4-H hog calling jamboree over in Tree Frog Hollow.

Lmfao, I really love these posts...

He must be off perusing an Oakland message board, pumping the tires on his boy KT, explaining the benefits each player could enjoy by gaining lean muscle mass...ine getting a head ache just remembering that moron.

He wanted to make sure someone else didn't do it and confiscate his prized collection of foot-fetish videos.

I'm sure he cleaned out his office shortly before he cleaned out his bowels one final time at Jets headquarters.

Poor Rex, he was told to give the Jets fans the team they deserve and so he did. Now because of that little miscommunication he is losing his job. It certainly wasn't his fault, ask any of the fans. They deserve another year or two of Rex! After all, they are Jet fans.

ALL HAIL TOESAR!!!

at least Rex has a future as a mystery writer....read on

autobiographical? Rex Stout...nice ring to it.

This is poorly managed.
As an organization like this, you want the team and coach aligned for every game where admission is being charged. This is a disservice to the fans of the Jets and Miami.
If you are going to fire the leadership, fine; but either do it or tell him his job is to win.

Like him or not, this is disrepectful.
What is the benefit of a few extra days of coaching search?
What is the benefit of doing this in such a way it's reported in the news and communicated to the coach?

You don't want to miss out on potential hires because you were slower than the other owners who were also looking.

It's not that there are any significant benefits, but there's not really a downside either. The coaches already know they're gone. This actually gives them a leg up on looking for their next job. Guys who aren't told until after the year is done might miss out on opportunities elsewhere.

Say what you like about Rex, he didn't turn the Jets into a laughing stock.

(Of course, he would have done if they hadn't been one already.)

Toesar. Rex Stout. Too funny.

We're gonna miss the Big Blowhard.

It's not like he's leaving the planet or anything. He'll just bloviate somewhere else. At least with him gone, New Jersey will have a lousy defense to go along with its crappy offense.

The Jest suck, with or without ToeBlow.

I read a post from a Jets fan and he referred to their playoff run in 09-10 as "the two championship seasons." That must really suck.
