I am not one but most atheists I know just do not bother believing religious B.S. and lies of the supernatural kind.

That makes good people do evil things.

Remember the Dark Ages and all the Christian murders and Inquisition?

The last poll i saw was that >1/3 of Americans 30 or less are now non-religious. Majority of these being male.

When they taught evolution in my public school I remember it being only like 5 minutes long. So I attribute this giant growth among young people to the interwebs.

That and our kids are not so easy to B.S. nowadays.

Most are brighter by 15 than their parents are and do not have the same tribal needs that open them to believing B.S.

Yes our society no longer needs to pray to God to cure us from Polio, but why do you think girls who are less than 30 refuse to deny the holy ghost?

Women are living in a misogynous world that continues to be pushed by religions.

If you were a woman, would you not be praying that God was real so that he could teach the vast majority of males that they are not superior to women just because they have penises? And that this false and unjust thinking is something God should correct the so called religious on?

The Governments of the world are not there for women so that only leaves women God to count on.

Their husbands, fathers and brothers and other males are certainly not there to help the women gain their rightful equality.

Shame on us all.

Most of the mainstream ones, yes. He shall rule over you, for instance, is the Christian way of institutionalizing discrimination without just cause.

Gnostic Christianity was decimated by Christianity in part because of our view on the equality of all people regardless of what gender they were.

Equality does not fit well into the hierarchical pyramid of power that Rome wanted in place. Way too democratic.

i bet that most of the forty percent live in the same area of the country. the area that has the lowest income, lowest rated public schools as far as test scores, and drop out rates, lowest percentage of college grades, lowest percentage of citizens with health insurance, highest rate of the flu right now, etc.
