My suggestion would be to download Tapatalk and use that instead of Safari.
Giving it a shot but taking a while to download. Thanks for the suggestion.

Is it asking you to download Tapatalk?

I personally prefer using Safari on my iPhone rather than Tapatalk
No Lyft (mentioned below) and a couple of shadier looking aps.

I have an iPhone 5, with an up to date OS, and I've never had the problem. I don't know if that will help any attempts to pinpoint the issue, or not, but I thought I'd point it out for comparison's sake.

You wouldn't if you were logged in.

Pretty sure my OS is up to date. Will double check though. Thanks.

I tried getting Tapa Talk but couldn't figure it out. o_O
if there's a Tapa Talk for Dummies lead me to it!

Kind of confused. Is there a way to post without being logged in?

A pats fans.com supporter won't see ads. You could subscribe to rid yourself of the problem as well. The people above that are talking about logging in as a solution are supporters so, they log in, no ads, no redirects.

I know there's a help desk but I'm stuck on a train for the next 3 hours and hoping for some quick answers. Literally almost every thread I open is redirecting to app download sites or ap store on my iPhone. Anyone else having this problem or have suggestions on a quick fix? I'm on an iPhone 5 using ATT data. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Download tapatalk.

so this is what I gather the thread is about?

I have had a nightmare using safari on iOS. However, I downloaded chrome and the problem has been very much reduced. I found Patsfans unusuable on iOS, much better on chrome.

The first time you visit PatsFans forums from a Google search result on a desktop browser, you're redirected to "download a Flash update" which is some kind of a virus or trojan. Not sure if this is still the case, but it was true a month ago or so and I was logged out each time.

The problems got so bad on my last phone I stopped looking at the site for almost a year. A thing to try:

Iphone allows you to restrict certain features (if you have kids using the phone.) One thing you could try is restricting access to the app store. Settings / General / Restrictions - Turn on Restrictions and set a numerical password (don't forget this password :) ) Under Restrictions set "Installing Apps" to Off.

This will remove the App Store icon from your main screen, and in theory prevent this exploit. If you want to install an app, you simply turn "Installing Apps" ON. (But you will need to remember that password!)

iPod.... iPad.... iPhone.... iDiot....

Get a kindle or nook and read, watch videos, etc. :)

This happens on android too, for those dissing iOS.

since i installed ghostery on my browser this site has been way better for me....

but that doesn't help people on iphones...

I have an iPhone 6 plus and I don't have any redirect issues or ads when I am logged in. When I am not logged in I get all kinds of ads ranging from coffee to cell phone service.
