Alex Smith out for KC Chiefs against San Diego Chargers

SD was likely to win anyway, but anything that increases their chances is good with me. Baltimore doesn't belong anywhere near the tournament this year.

I'll be glad the ugly Suggs will be on his couch. Ha Ha.

R.I.P Baltimore

See you later Baltimore. This is still no excuse for Suggs to leave that lower lip hanging out like that. Tuck that **** in son.

have you watched them play lately? they are probably about to lose anyways

I still won't rule out KC winning it. Do any of you remember last year when KC had absolutely nothing to play for, had their best 5-10 players inactive, and STILL almost beat San Diego?

Choking this game would be right up the Chargers alley.

Adios Baltimore. I know a lot of people here were writing them off anyway, but I think they could've made a bit of noise in the playoffs. They didn't become a top-5 team in weighted DVOA by accident, no matter how bad their secondary is now. I feel much better having San Diego in the playoffs than them.

Don't cash your SD tickets in just yet. Alex Smith is ok but still a game manager which makes him all the more replaceable. Plus I just think the KC pass rush at home against the SD Oline could be the difference.

Also, I'd rather see a Baltimore/Pitt playoff game. That could be a nasty one.

The best case scenario is for :

Denver to get the 3 seed and for SD to get the 6 seed, which means SD v Denver in the wildcard. It's really tough to beat a team 3 times in one year, so SD could upset Denver in Denver where they usually play better against the Broncos than they do at home. If SD wins, they automatically come to NE...

Is this game in Kansas City? Probably a good opportunity to bet on the Chiefs; San Diego won their last game by the skin of their teeth, not a reliable team.

Not sure why people think SD has this one wrapped up. Keenan Allen and Ryan Matthews will probably miss the game. SD's OL isn't the best and Chiefs have two overly favorable matchups with Houston going against Fluker and Poe against their 5th C. There is also the fact SD gives up 125 rushing y/g (7th worst) and 4.6 ypc (4th worst)

Only way SD wins is if they find a run game and stick with it against an even worse run defense in KC, who are 3rd worst in ypc/a (4.7) and 5th worst in ypg/a (128.3)

Although they may get a break as Hali hasn't practiced this week.

Watch the chefs (not a typo) have a WR catch a TD.
when was the last time a team went an entire season without a WR catching a td?
