Jimmy Garopollo starts, plays brilliantly, then what?

he goes back to holding a clipboard and if someone offers a first for him you take it IMO Brady can play two maybe 3 more years at a all pro/MVP level if they put a good OL around him

I would take that performance with a grain of salt simply because teams don't have a good tape on him with starters. Who was it that said Kapernick was a great QB? Look at him now.

Look at it next year in August.

I would turn on the direct lines with Oakland and Tampa, just in case.
Tampa yes Oakland no they have a pretty good QB in Derek Carr with no run game and no one to throw to he has 20 TD and only 11 INT's and over 3000 yards as a rookie

Then you keep him and hope he is our best QB before 2017

Jimmy Garoppolo, Man Known on PF by a Thousand Names.

...Aww shoot, there's another one.

Maybe buffalo let's him JaG shine and look brilliant so the haters can say brady is just a product of the system and can be jettisoned off and then buffalo doesn't have to endure the wrath of brady anymore

Lol

Let us pretend Garopollo takes the field on Sunday and is lights out, what is your plan for him:

- Do you stay the course and keep him as a backup and potential heir apparent to Brady in 3-4 years?
- Do you move on from Brady who is still a top 5 QB in the NFL (behind just Rodgers in my opinion)?
- Do you trade Jimmy G for a high draft pick in round 1 of the 2015 draft?

What would you do??

P.S. Happy Holidays and best wishes in the New Year to all of you! Go Pats‼
Trade him to Houston for 3 first rounders.

If Garappolo starts and is lights out, then you MUST start him in the playoffs, too!

Obviously I'm kidding, but do you remember when the Bills did this in the 1999? Rob Johnson got the garbage start in Week 17, played well, and was promoted to playoff starter over good 'ole Doug Flutie.

I hope Grop has a good game. It will just give Brady something to think about, then he goes on to win 3 more SB's :D

short of multiple first round picks you don't do anything til the next time brady has a contract that needs addressing.

JAG was seen playing slot receiver??

Buh bye Amencola!
Question - Does anyone recall what we paid Leon Washington in his initial contract signed in the 2013 offseason?

- Give him a better parking spot.

Good stuff everyone. I tend to agree with those who said to stay the course. However, if the Chicago Bears called and said they wanted their home state legend Garopollo back and they'd give us their #1 pick (currently #7 overall) I would have to strongly consider pulling the trigger on that, especially considering at 37 year old Brady looks more athletic and better than he did at 27.

If Chicago were going to make an offer, realistically, it would be more likely they offer their 2nd Rder (#39 or so). They would be crazy to offer us #7 straight up for Jimmy Grapes. The Illinois connection makes it an intruiging theory, though.
