Seahawks look scary

God stop being so negative about the whole JMD thing. We know who and what he is. If they lose i can bet it won't be because of him

Seattle doesn't have history on their side with repeating as SB champions as that is something that is very hard to do and has only happened 8 times since the start of the SB.

Especially when Bill calls the shots.

Dont recall that. Was on TV. BB spoke to JMD on the sidelines?

My ex martial arts teacher showed it to me. I just cannot remember the exact time but know it is around there. I don't have a copy of the game.

You have a man crush on McD or something? I would be willing to bet a game ticket that we do not win a SB with McD as OC.

I disagree with this assessment. There are people who destroy forum quality and there are people who add value to the forum. @KontradictioN is in the ladder group.

The guy you're quoting got banned from here a couple of years ago and is such a loser that he had to create a new username and come back on to do what he did before, which is add very little in the way of actual football conversation to the forum. No clue why @Ian keeps him around now outside of the entertainment value he sometimes brings. Kind of like the kid with Aspergers Syndrome in the popular group, only probably fatter and with tits. Oh, and ham for Christmas, my friend. A spiral ham at that.

Probably gonna get killed for this but is the Pats offense really elite? They have a bunch of average RB's, a average to below average o-line, and 3 receiving targets. Amendola is a non-factor when Edelman is playing. Edelman is OK but nothing amazing. Lafell is a good receiver but hardly a #1 WR or an elite target. Pats have no depth @ WR behind Lafell/Edelman.

Sherman could easily erase Lafell, their safeites (2 of the best in the league) could limit Gronk, and I'm sure they could stop Edelman.

Besides, they stopped GB and Broncos (last year). We know they can stop an elite offense.

Look at it this way: who's better on offense? Green Bay has an elite RB, an elite QB, 2 elite receivers, and an above average line, so I'd start there. Pittsburgh has an elite WR, an elite RB, a pretty good line, and a very good QB. I'd probably put them behind the Pats, but not by a ton. Seattle has an elite QB, an elite RB... and not a whole hell of a lot else. While they're a textbook "whole greater than sum of parts" case, I still think the Pats are better. Denver has an elite WR, another near-elite WR, a very good TE, but their OL is a bit overmatched and Manning hasn't looked anything close to elite since probably early November.

The Pats' offense is elite, weirdly enough. Gronk and Brady are just that good, and Vereen, Edelman, LaFell Gray and Blount are all capable pieces that play their roles quite well. Much like Seattle, it's a textbook case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Although granted, this all hinges entirely on the OL holding up.

OT a bit but I'm sure that every fan for every team complains about their coaching at some time or another, shoot just go over to the broncos forums, they want Gase, Fox and Del Rio all gone lol.

I know JMD sometimes ticks us off, but let's face it he, BB and the rest of the coaching staff know a hell of a lot more about football than we do, otherwise ...well you know.

But I'll take JMD, I think more times than not he does a great job. Yeh he screws up sometimes but I'll take him over 95% of the guys out there. I'm not a JMD homer, just looking at the bigger picture.

Hey everyone have a merry xmas or holiday or kwanza or whatever you celebrate!

The Pats can beat the Seahawks.

The Patriots will have to run the ball and be physical and mix in some play actions and screens

Plus i dont care Earl Thomas or Kam chancellor is not covering Gronk period.

Plus Edelman can beat Maxwell in coverage.

Tim wright will have to step up.

Bills defensive gameplans for superbowls are always Great so the Pats defense will be ready The pats will try to keep wilson in the pocket and take away beast mode Browner and revis will be fine vs The Seahawks also i think Pats can get Russell to throw them a few .

But all of that does not matter right the Pats must lock in each week one game at a time to win the AFC.

The Playoffs are when grown men come to play The NFC is not are concern right now.

Yup

This about sums it up.

The blueprint is out there. The game in Seattle 2012.......Tampa in Seattle last year.....Dallas in Seattle this year.

The Sunday game in Arizona also provides the perfect example of why you don't go the "pressure" route with a QB like RW.......(even if it's the "5th" ranked defense.)

The playoffs haven't even started and we have people posting about how scared they are of Seattle?
Holy Shi'ite.

way too many wussies in this board. we are friggin pats. we are what they fear. grow a pair. in SB we will play the best team available. we lost to 'lowly' teams like giants. but we beat 'an almighty' team in rams. anything can happen in the biggest stage.

just show up and put up a good performance. when we get there it's 50/50 toss up. i highly doubt we will embarrass ourselves like denver did last year. i came to realize that winning SB isn't easy. just be the best we can be while our key guys stay healthy.

may the best team win.

McDipstick has the headset on that is linked to TFB. BB does not call the O shots. If he did TFB would have 5 rings.

Bill has a headset on that can override McDaniels headset and he can speak to Brady at anytime. I understand Bill is more of a defensive guy, but Bill is the CEO of all football operations, and the game plan and play calls all go back to the top.

Well they are leading the league in scoring, what would make them elite?

Perhaps there are no elite offenses in the NFL?

BTW one of the most telling stat about a team is the Scoring differential. ONLY 3 TEAMS HAVE A SCORING DIFFERENTIAL OF >+100, GB +128, SEA +126, but your NE PATS are +163, IOW head and shoulders above every other team in the league.

Tom Brady loves Josh McD. He thinks McD is a great football mind, so he's not going anywhere unless it's a head coaching vacancy. FWIW, Brady hated Bill O'Brien.

Honestly do you think if JMD was freelancing and doing stuff that Bill did not like he would have stayed as the OC for so long, and when he left St Louis Bill would have sought him out.
Bill is human and makes mistakes too, so guranteeing that if was the playcaller we would have 5 rings is ridicoulous.Do you think if Bill thought JMD was costing the team the Superbowl he would have stood idly.

Stop using silly devices like facts to advance your drivel. Dont you understand that Seattle is the greatest team in sports history and the Pats have NO chance???
Why, if the Seahawks were a baseball team they would sweep the '27 Yankees. Wilson would have 3 wins and an ERA under 2. Lynch would bat .487 with 5 homers and the entire D-line would have a combined 6 triples and 14 stolen bases.

My wife watched part of the Seahawks game with me & thought they were scary good.
I think I'll go tell her to grow a pair.
On 2nd thought...
