Tom Brady
Stephen gostkowski
Rob Gronkowski
Darrelle Revis
Matthew slater

To being selected to the PRO BOWL

But let's make sure these fellas are in the SUPER BOWL ;)

Hightower Collins and Mccourty all got snubbed

You're right, I forgot McCourty. I think Collins might have deserved a spot, but it's not that insane that he didn't make it in. McCourty and Hightower though, no excuses about them.

Haven't seen a lot of CJ Mosely but from what I had seen, he was equal to Collins. Could have gone either way I guess.

With that said, not sure if they considered Collins to be a OLB or an ILB?

Worst popularity contest ever!
Congrats to our NE Patriots selectees!

Go look at the post I made tonight in the Collins is a freak thread you'll see why it is insane he didn't make it.

The Patriots had three OLBs (Hightower, Collins, Ayers) and no ILBs on the ballot. The OLB Pro Bowl spots, as expected, were swept by edge rushers because the average Pro Bowl voter just votes for whoever has the most sacks.

McCourty was listed at strong safety, too. In terms of how they're used, Weddle should have been on the ballot (and made it) as a strong safety over Ward and McCourty should be in Weddle's spot at FS.

Thanks for the insight. Agreed on OLB's selection criteria.

DMC a SS? Good heavens. Agree w/ your safety assessment.

So 1 tight end and 3 big bodied receivers were selected to the pro bowl for the Tight end position. What a joke!

I never sweat snubs. The Pro Bowl is popularity and name recognition contest. Half the people who make don't deserve to go.

Besides, no Patriot will be playing in the Pro Bowl.

The pro-bowl is a joke and should be treated as such.

The all-pro selections are far more important and carry more weight among your peers. I expect the likes of McCourty, Hightower, and Collins to make the all-pro team, even if it's on the second team.

Nonetheless, congrats to the five who got voted in, even though I expect none of them will participate as they will be otherwise preoccupied with something far more meaningful.

No surprised about the 5 who made it. Congrats to them for earning recognition. As for Collins, his time will come. Too freakishly athletic not to get in there in the near future. Hightower showed some great strides, but his game does not flash as much as Collins.

McCourty, it depends on if he has a big stat year. But he has truly become one of the top safeties in the game, it's a matter of getting the recognition.

Denver has 9 players voted in (they lead the league). Fitting since they wont be in the Superbowl. Hope they enjoy it.

Ever since they let fans vote some of the Pro Bowl selections have been hot garbage.
