T.J. Ward

Most of us won't wish injuries on players. But once it does happen to someone like Ward, it's a little phoney to say you fell bad for him. I don't feel anything for him.
'Live by the sword, die by the sword".

It might be phoney, but it doesn't make it right. Credit for saying what you think, but that doesn't make it right.

I don't know Ward. He is a danger to himself and other at times, right, but so was the likes of Rodney Harrison...and you'd have been devastated for him if he had a neck injury (I assume anyway)...so there's double standards going on here with a lot of people.

OK we could have stopped it from happening if we just feel bad for him. It happened - it is what it is. If I feel bad for him will that make me a good message board person.

That's a normal response to a football player you don't know personally being injured. Could you post a few of the posts you have from this incident so we can see them? I know you must have hundreds on a memory stick.

Is this good enough?

This thread kind of makes me shake my head at the fan base on here (feel free to negative rate me as you please).

This kind of thinking makes shake my head at the person posting it. :)

Yes, there are a handful of posters wishing Ward bodily injury in return. Of course there are. The guy is a headhunter.

And I'm not agreeing with Deus here, but 10% of the population is mentally ill. What I mean by that is you can just expect 10% of almost any conversation to have moments of WTF did he just say? But that 10% does not represent the whole.

Now in this thread, how many have posted to wish him real injury? 6? 10? 12? As of me posting this, there were 2022 views of this thread and 63 replies.

How many of those 2022 views are unique posters I dont know.. but with 63 replies, a lot of them chose not to reply. How many of them represent the "We dont wish an injury on Ward" crowd?

Say what you want about the individuals posting here, but they are a looooong way from being representative of the fanbase.

Of course there's going to be a lot of "wrong" in a thread like this due to Ward's continual diving at our TE and others in the NFL knees. Tatum tried to kill Stingley and he never apologized for taking Darryl's ability to walk and eventually his very life away from him. Ward walked off with a stiff neck. Stingley was carried off never to stand on his own again. Forgive me for harboring ill will for Tatum after that incident. Doesn't matter today...he's dead.

Tatum is scum, but this isn't about Tatum being paralyzed, is it? Knee injuries suck, but cheering when a guy appears to have a serious neck injury is sick, given the possibilities.

I hope TJ Ward is ok.

Wishing pain, injury and paralysis on someone is not right.

That's also why Browner got a penalty. Seemed like a decent hit, but you hit in the neck area, you're going to get called and the reason is, the NFL doesn't want another paralyzed player.

I'm bored of people bringing this one up. I have seen this video a million times and that was a freak accident.

There's a lot of guessing there.

I could have definitely worded it a bit better!

When you think about it...it isn't far off of what Browner did against the Chargers. Stingley's head lowered towards the end with his momentum. But hey, it was an opposition player against one of our own...so there has to be uproar about it, right?

My child/sibling/father isn't a disgusting azzhole who goes around trying to intentionally end careers.

Ward deserves everything/anything that happens to him from this or any future injury. Live by the sword and die by the sword, Ward, you azzwipe.

And even if the POS does keep playing, maybe this little incident will make him think twice before trying to plant his head on someone's knee to injure them. Though given his POS-ness, I doubt it.

What if he died? Would that make you happy?

a freak accident caused by a full launch/clothsline hit intended to injure.

What if he died? Would that make you happy?

If he was walking down the street or if he broke his neck trying to take someone's knee out yet again?

If the latter, I wouldn't be celebrating, but I wouldn't feel sorry for him. He got what he deserved.

Sorry you're f**king bored. You're also an a**hole.
I liked this but maybe I just should have agreed.

Happy Holidays, too! Or is that hypocritical?

Hey you idiots that feel sorry for him or are preaching to others that don't feel bad what happened, you realize that Ward at his first open shot on Gronk in the Denver game he went straight for the knee and he wasn't coming into tackle him, he was coming into injure again. Don't sit here and tell me that last year it was just an accident. He targeted the knee and got the result, this year he didn't get his desired result.

Guy is a f***** dirty player.

I feel exactly the same way for him that he felt for gronk, after he ended gronks season last year.

I don't feel bad at all.

I saw somebody handing out dislikes in the game thread last nite for anybody who didn't voice displeasure to see Ward go down. I have to object to that. Look, I'm not actively rooting for players to get hurt out there either, but there is way too many F'd up things going on in the world for me to even pretend to give the obligatory "I never root for injury against these players, I hope he gets better soon" and feel sorry for a multi-millionaire playing a game for a living. Let's save our self-righteousness for much worthier causes.

I hope he recovers in time for the playoffs...
