LaFell and either of Edelman or Amendola are sufficient to run our offense like clockwork, along with Gronk, Wright and Vareen and any of the other three running backs.

Why get cute? Run the offense that can drive 80 yards down the field and has multiple red zone targets, or running backs.

We won a championship in 2001. We have enough offensive weapons to man 2 successful 2001 offenses. Just compare. Two receivers, one bell cow running back, a guy from East Boston who had one good game and a smaller RB/receiver who had a few good plays and was hardly heard from again.

It's not rocket surgery.

I thought weiss was a genius that year. McDaniels is too smart for is own good sometimes, but it's part of the game plan offense. I think sometimes, they nee to concentrate on what they do best and force the defense to adjust. that's when the easy plays, long plays open up.

In the post game presser Curran asked Brady why they don't go to their up-temp offense more often. Which btw was a reason why in Foxboro they put up 27 points in 19 minutes of possession against the jests.

Brady's response

“That’s a good question. There’s definitely times where we do a good job of it. I don’t know. That’s a good question. We do it at different times and sometimes it works and…I don’t know.”

They come into that game with a set OL, no moving pieces, just lineup and block your guy and the up-tempo and the Pats probably win by 14+.

Therefore, it they do not win the SB you were right, and you both prefer the latter to the former.

With all due respect, If you're just going to be the guy constantly waiting for them to fail, I'll just end this conversation now. I've been the one who has allowed you to stick around here hoping those were just comments you were making in the heat of the moment in that previous thread.

But if you're going to be the guy just waiting to say "I told you so", then just let me know now and we can skip the in-between part.
