Resting Players

Well you gotta play these last two games, they are Important, Denver isn't losing again in the regular season so unless you want to travel in the playoffs there is no resting players. The guys mentioned above are out because of injuries nothing more.
Oh? :)

Like Bob said, the offense NEEDS to get at least a half of good work, probably a bit more. This is NOT the time to take your foot off the throttle. Perhaps you might throw it into a lower gear, but now is not the time to stop working. Snap counts may go down, but they don't stop coming.

Brady plays 3 quarters depending on score. One quarter for Gronk. Limited reps for Edelman. Sit conelly and arrington.

Everyone else i mentioned..i would play for 3 QTRs. They will have a week off after. Edelman banged up..rest..gronk don't risk and revis don't risk along with arrington and connolly i forgot

Rest everybody. Forget about rythym, it would be ridiculous to fatigue our players and lose someone important to injury. This is a perfect time to play young guys and get them much needed snaps.

Tim Wright to shine time?
Dennard to play more?
Cannon+Fleming+Kline+Devey+Wendell= goodbye Aladdin, so I don't think they will go with that.

Face it there are 3 players that we cannot have under any circumstances get hurt. 1. Brady 2. Gronk 3. Revis. I would hope that if they do play that they don't more than a half. Out of the three I would definitely sit Gronk .

No, but they also shouldn't flirt with form.
OK, we all have our views. We all have our list of players that we would rest (injured and/or key players). Most of us would have many more greatly reduce their reps, perhaps by not playing the second half.

This game is meaningless for both us and Buffalo. Running up the score (obliterating Buffalo) by keeping our starters in makes little sense to me.

We need to at the very least start with Brady. If the Bills start getting some hits on him I would then be more cautious and rest him the rest of the game.

Not my decision, In BB I Trust

Brady wants everyone to play

If you play fantasy football and your league plays its championship in week 17 go out and pick up Tim Wright right now. Expect them to go to him early and often to get him ready for the playoffs. This is now tune up week where Belichick the mad scientist gets to experiment.

Give Galapagos a chance to start and sit Brady and Gronk from the beginning. The others after the 1st quarter. Let Edelman get the 1000 yards mark and them bench him too.

Brady wants everyone to play

Frankly, the way the offense has been playing lately, I'm not sure Brady should have much say in the matter. At least they solved the inconsistency of playing 30 minutes of bad football every week. Against the Jets, they stunk for 60 minutes.

I would hand Brady a clipboard for the Bills game. He must be out of gas. Maybe a break would help.

I would seriously consider sitting Gronk because he gets targeted so much. Brady not so much, he is more critical but QBs are also more protected and he can do things better/easier to protect himself (dumping the ball) than Gronk can.

Revis; although also another critical player; but he is not so likely to get hurt back there. VW is a guy who I think is more one who should be rested a little, especially as he plays in traffic.

In general I dont like the strategy of pulling certain guys and saying you are more important than the others (even if it is true). I think there is a 2d order [bad] effect to doing this. .... If you start pulling guys; you are telling the rest of the team 'this game is not important, dont play all out'. I think there is evidence that when guys play half-hearted in a game like this; the incidence of injuries increases 3x. Plus it just sets the team up to ingrain some bad habits for the next game, which is a 'come home with your shields or on them' scenario.

So, I would probably play everybody and then just let Grap play the 2d half to gain experience - not to protect TB, and then call player packages in 2d half that somehow dont require Gronk or VW to be out there. Not officially "pull them from the game"; but rather play them really sparingly in Qtrs 3-4.

Only players i would rest for entire game...Gronk and Edleman along with Revis. Brady comes out at half

If Gronk and Edelman are both out, then you got to sit Brady immediately. He looked lost without Edelman and who knows how bad things could get against that pass rush without the safety net of Gronk as well.

I feel we win no matter what simply because it is the Bills and their victory would signify the end of days etc. but I prefer not to have another ugly game from Brady. I don't want our team's confidence shaken too bad going into the playoffs.

I still think they have to play at least a half, their performance against the jesties was terrible and I don't want them going into the playoffs with that being their last performance.

And you saw that coming last night, easy to quote me and post something after the game is decided...whatever.

I'll stick to my theory, they have to play next week, they looked like crap Sunday and need to fix it.
