T.J. Ward

I wouldn't exactly cry if he weren't able to put the pads on again this year.

That said, I definitely don't wish anything career ending or too serious on him either.

Meh...he deserves it. Dirty sob.
It is impossible for me to feel bad for dirty players like him who make a point of trying to injure opposing players. The only thing I feel bad about is that it wasn't his knee.
Hopefully it's career ending.

I feel no sorry for this guy. He got paid for what he has done.
I hope he never plays again

It's one thing to not necessarily feel sorry for an especially dirty/asshat player. It's another thing entirely to maybe revel a bit, four whatever fleeting moment, when said player goes down.

Looking at the play, it seems his neck was affected. That is something I wish on no athlete, whatever his reputation. Given the walking and cart ride is assume it is nothing debilitating. I hope for his recovery (slowly would be nice). It was a play that could easily have been much (seemingly) worse than it was at first glance.

A serious neck injury would be debilitating, not only for his career, but his personal well being long after. It certainly does not appear to be the case, luckily.

Would any of you like to see a child/sibling/father taken off the field after that replay? It could easily have been much worse.

@NSPF, while I may share the disregard for the player, your "hoped" injury makes far less sense given current knee surgery standards abd recovery times. If you're going to act like a ****, at least do it coherently.

All those acl he's deliberately blown out certainly will holble people in later stages of life.
The surgeries are much better now than in the past. While there will certainly be aches, there will be much less if the deteriorated strength and functionality.

I saw Darryl taken off the field never to walk again....have to admit, I wished a Mack truck would find Jack Tatum doing 80 mph for a few years afterwards

What if Ward is paralyzed? I think that's what's wrong with this thread. Also, what tatum did was legal then, yet when they change the rule to protect players people beeotch up and down about Browner's penalty.

Football is only a game and being paralyzed is not.

Of course there's going to be a lot of "wrong" in a thread like this due to Ward's continual diving at our TE and others in the NFL knees. Tatum tried to kill Stingley and he never apologized for taking Darryl's ability to walk and eventually his very life away from him. Ward walked off with a stiff neck. Stingley was carried off never to stand on his own again. Forgive me for harboring ill will for Tatum after that incident. Doesn't matter today...he's dead.

My child/sibling/father isn't a disgusting azzhole who goes around trying to intentionally end careers.

Ward deserves everything/anything that happens to him from this or any future injury. Live by the sword and die by the sword, Ward, you azzwipe.

And even if the POS does keep playing, maybe this little incident will make him think twice before trying to plant his head on someone's knee to injure them. Though given his POS-ness, I doubt it.

Let's say your child/sibling/father is an nfl safety. I do not think the Gronk hit last year was necessarily intentional. The "attempt" this year, coupled with the quotes, raises eyebrows. That is no reason to celebrate potentially debilitating injury of another human.

Ah ok so the surgeries for knees are so advanced that is no big deal, ok, let's have knee surgeries like band aids, someone is going to lay on a table, take a shot of anestesia to a doctor perform an invasive procedure that always brings a risk, reconstruct a structural part of the human body responsible for walking and having the correct balance, and then have a long and expensive recovery (most of the players do not make Gronk's money and have to save every penny for when the stop playing because most of them are not able to do anything else) but OK, a punk like Ward can throw himself like a missile in full speed at someone's knee because knee surgeries are advanced.

Come on, I don't need any other evidence, he tried to break Gronk's knee again this season, it's pretty clear on the video and in the players body language even from his teammates. He's not only trying to hurt someone deliberately, he's trying to make someone unable to do their job, this where I grew up is pretty rough business. He deserves exactly a career ending injury, but I wish him to walk and have a regular life, I'm not a psicopath, I just don't think a sports professional field is a place for a dirty player like him.

Did I defend ward's perceived actions?

I agree he seems to have a dbag persona that was cemented earlier this year. That said, I can't really celebrate a serious neck injury to anyone.

If that terrorist dbag cutting American heads fell off his camel and broke his neck...ok, I'll cheers to that. A professional football player (also risking his own well being) potentially suffering a similar fate, not at all.

Some of you really need psychiatric help.

Agree Deus. There are some pretty classless replies in this thread.

Don't we want to beat the Broncos at their best?

Don't understand who would want to walk around admitting they are the type of person that wishes bodily harm upon someone who plays on a team they don't root for.

I'm OK with everything as long as he's well enough to drive and run over Michael Vick and Bernard Pollard before going off a cliff.

There are very few players on whom I'd wish a career-ending injury, namely the worst few criminals and the worst few dirty players. Pollard is on my list; not sure if Ward is too.

But if all he does is try to take out people's knees, I certainly wish him a healthy life after football. I just might wish him to start his post-football life a little sooner than he was planning, so that OTHER players may have the health I wish for them too.
