Meh...he deserves it. Dirty sob.
It is impossible for me to feel bad for dirty players like him who make a point of trying to injure opposing players. The only thing I feel bad about is that it wasn't his knee.
Hopefully it's career ending.
I feel no sorry for this guy. He got paid for what he has done.
I hope he never plays again
Hopefully it's career ending.
The surgeries are much better now than in the past. While there will certainly be aches, there will be much less if the deteriorated strength and functionality. All those acl he's deliberately blown out certainly will holble people in later stages of life.
Hopefully it's career ending.
I saw Darryl taken off the field never to walk again....have to admit, I wished a Mack truck would find Jack Tatum doing 80 mph for a few years afterwards
What if Ward is paralyzed? I think that's what's wrong with this thread. Also, what tatum did was legal then, yet when they change the rule to protect players people beeotch up and down about Browner's penalty.
Football is only a game and being paralyzed is not.
Would any of you like to see a child/sibling/father taken off the field after that replay? It could easily have been much worse.
It's one thing to not necessarily feel sorry for an especially dirty/asshat player. It's another thing entirely to maybe revel a bit, four whatever fleeting moment, when said player goes down.
Looking at the play, it seems his neck was affected. That is something I wish on no athlete, whatever his reputation. Given the walking and cart ride is assume it is nothing debilitating. I hope for his recovery (slowly would be nice). It was a play that could easily have been much (seemingly) worse than it was at first glance.
A serious neck injury would be debilitating, not only for his career, but his personal well being long after. It certainly does not appear to be the case, luckily.

@NSPF, while I may share the disregard for the player, your "hoped" injury makes far less sense given current knee surgery standards abd recovery times. If you're going to act like a ****, at least do it coherently.
Let's say your child/sibling/father is an nfl safety. I do not think the Gronk hit last year was necessarily intentional. The "attempt" this year, coupled with the quotes, raises eyebrows. That is no reason to celebrate potentially debilitating injury of another human. My child/sibling/father isn't a disgusting azzhole who goes around trying to intentionally end careers.
Ward deserves everything/anything that happens to him from this or any future injury. Live by the sword and die by the sword, Ward, you azzwipe.
And even if the POS does keep playing, maybe this little incident will make him think twice before trying to plant his head on someone's knee to injure them. Though given his POS-ness, I doubt it.
Did I defend ward's perceived actions?Ah ok so the surgeries for knees are so advanced that is no big deal, ok, let's have knee surgeries like band aids, someone is going to lay on a table, take a shot of anestesia to a doctor perform an invasive procedure that always bring a risk, reconstruct a structural part of the human body responsible for walking and having the correct balance, and then have a long and expensive recovery (most of the players do not make Gronk's money and have to save every penny for when the stop playing because most of them are not able to do anything else) but OK, a punk like Ward can throw himself like a missile in full speed at someone's knee because knee surgeries are advanced.
Come on, I don't need any other evidence, he tried to break Gronk's knee again this season, it's pretty clear on the video and in the players body language even from his teammates. He's not only trying to hurt someone deliberately, he's trying to make someone unable to do their jobs, this where I grew up is pretty rough business. He deserves exactly a career ending injury, but I wish him to walk and have a regular life, I'm not a psicopath, I just don't think a sports professional field is a place for a dirty player like him.
Hopefully it's career ending.
Some of you really need psychiatric help.
