Jets hire.... Charley Casserly

I laugh at this:
should the Jets make any changes, Johnson would be ready to move forward with the football expertise and manpower he would need surrounding him.

What did Belichick say about him? Nobody has been wrong more often than Charlie Casserly:)
J-E-S-T

To finish the quote, "Wherever he's been, whatever he's done, his percentage is like a meteorologist...He has no relationship with this team, I'd say less than zero. He's never here, I don't know if he's ever been to a game. He's never been to a practice...at least he put his name on it and I'll put my name on it and say, like he usually is, he's 100-percent wrong."

......and we all know how much Bill respects meterologists.:)

Another year of the Philbin Dolphins, the Jets are hiring Casserly, and the Bills still don't have a quarterback (one can hope for Cutler next year).

Let that sink in..

WOW. Just WOW. Knowing Miami is sticking with Philbin and now this announcement makes me even more confident that the Pats will continue to "run the east." The Bills look pretty good on defense though.

Cutler is done. The Bills will probably end up with Sanchez, Hoyer or even worse Michael Vick. With that said...

I let it sink in.

Yesterday at the game when they showed Woody Johnson and his family wishing everybody "Happy Holidays" they Jets fans booed. Maybe they had advanced press on this move...:)

Whenever they have Charlie Casserly talking football on TV, something always irks me about him.

Really shows just how little BB thinks of him because BB rarely ever calls anyone out.

I dunno why anybody watches NFL Network anymore. They have the biggest group of salty clowns (Warner, Lady T, Faulk) hell they probably met at a therapy session.

Casserly is a football guy, this is a good start. The Jets could hire Harbaugh (he isn't coming here, I know), and you guys would still call it a bad move.
There are a number of coaches and front office guys that I would hate to go to the Jets. Charlie Casserly is not one of them. I would be pickled tink if Casserly became the Jet's GM. Christmas came early this year.

Please explain how that relic who has never been successful is a 'good move'.
The Jets could fire Idzik and Ryan, not be able to find anyone who wants the job, and hire both back in February and you Jets fans would be saying they are great hires.

Idzik is a cap guy, Mike Tannebaum is a cap guy. We haven't had a FOOTBALL guy since Bradway. He's experienced, and although he wasn't extremely sucessful, he knows guys in the league, and will likely help us overhaul the scouting department next season. He was not hired as a GM, he was hired as a CONSULTANT. Oh, and btw multiple jet fans on the board I post on, said from day one, that Idzik was not a good hire.

He was not HIRED as the GM, he's just a consultant. All this shows us , is that Woody wants to make changes, and he wants to surround himself with experienced, football guys. That alone is a good sign to me.

I'm sure in 2 years you will be saying a lot of people thought Casserly was a bad hire.
Why aren't you discussing the Jets with Jets fans on those boards rather than coming here?
