Seahawks look scary

I honestly don't know about the pats fans. I do know seahawks fans like to travel - look what they did to peyton in last year's super bowl ;)

We will travel. Trust me. If it was in NY..there would be more of us...if in AZ..i say a bit more of us.

Lots of rich pats fans in socal :)

And pats fans won't travel? you know how many pats fans live within a 2 hour flight in SOcAL (looks at the SD game) plus people going from here?

SB crowds are full of fans of neither team. The average football fan is sick of the Pats and will be actively rooting for SEA.

That would be the only thing good about it.
I like Wilson too. He is a money player.
Pats would be 3-6 point underdogs to Seattle.

Good. Weren't we the favorite in the last 2 SB's?

It's gimmicky to you because all their pass catchers are average, there's really no elite option for Wilson. Just a bunch of JAGs. Wilson/Lynch is their offense. Lynch is Blount/Gray on steroids. Wilson is the best rushing QB of all time. Like I said earlier in this thread, he's everything Vick was supposed to be. He's got something like 850 yards and 6 TDs rushing. Wilson can extend plays with his feet which gives his average weapons time to uncover so he can find them for big plays. Doesn't matter how good your secondary is if you can't bring down their QB. Doesn't help our defense tends to throw up on itself when facing a mobile QB either.

The thing about Wilson is he's so unbelievably smart at utilizing his athleticism. Literally impossible to stop the guy. I don't think anyone this season has actually limited his ability to run. And Arizona actually did a good job on Wilson for a while, except when Wilson figured out the defensive scheme and started blowing up Arizona on deep plays. A play like Wilson is just a ridiculous playmaker because he is so quick, but also extremely elusive at avoiding the sack, and then smart enough to read the defense in order to make big plays downfield.

Still a lot of work to get to the big show. But...you want the best and as a life-long Pats fan, bring on the Seahawks. "You Mad Bro" needs to be DESTROYED.

I'd rather play Green Bay

I feel like Seattle's D would kill us (not nearly as bad as they did to the Broncos in the SuperBowl) and our defense is more fit to stop an elite passing offense, rather than a mobile QB/rushing offense

Seattle would take advantage of the fact we cannot throw downfield

It's very hard to evaluate how good the Seahawks' defense really is given the following:

Week 17: Shaun Hill
Week 16: Ryan Lindley, 6 points
Week 15: Colin Kaepernick in free fall, 7 points
Week 14: Mark Sanchez, 14 points
Week 13: Colin Kaepernick in free fall, 3 points
Week 12: Drew Stanton, 3 points

Impressive run averaging less than 7 PPG, but not a decent QB among them.

Its the same defense that lit up Manning last year in the Superbowl and Rodgers earlier in the season, except they're without a few backup lineman and their starting tackle Mebane, but they still rush the passer extremely well even with their replacements.

Exactly. Every game is individual, you can't extrapolate from one to the next otherwise the Patriots would have beaten the jets by 60, if the Patriots are fortunate enough to get to Arizona I have confidence they will give anyone they meet a good game.

Agree. I personally don't undertand what the Cardinals where trying to do. Having their 3rd string QB throwing the ball all over the place was nuts. Their defense lacked discipline and let Wilson run amuck. The tackling and angles the long Lynch run were terrible.

With that said, I think Seattle will win the NFC. I can't see anyone going back up there and winning. Maybe Dallas but only if Murray gets healthy.

In the AFC, it is going to be a dogfight. The team that people should worry about is Pitt. Great run game and fast, young receivers that can score in a hurry. The Pats will have to play their A game to get to the big dance.

That's what they're supposed to do to, though. I feel like our defense (on paper is just about good as theirs) would've given up more points

Great, i was not impressed by the number of pats fans in indy at the last SB.

How the heck did they have 6 sacks against Wilson in the first game?

Plus I bet some az fans are going and they will not want Seattle to win a sb in their house

Both conferences AFC and NFC will be dogfights in the postseason! In the AFC it's the New England,Denver,Cincinnati/Pittsburgh & maybe San Diego! The NFC it's Seattle,Green Bay & Dallas all with the same record & either team can win on the road! The playoffs will indeed be one wild ride!

I'm really bummed, it's only December and the Patriots have already lost the Super Bowl.

Oh well, on to the Draft. Welcome back Milk Carton Kids, good thing they lost or we wouldn't have seen you until Belichick screwed up another Draft.

Right now I wouldn't like pats chances v Seattle, especially with how BB likes to play mobile qbs and the online is playing. If the pats were playing now like they were vs den, cin, chi...then I'd favor the patriots....

Its the same defense that lit up Manning last year in the Superbowl and Rodgers earlier in the season, except they're without a few backup lineman and their starting tackle Mebane, but they still rush the passer extremely well even with their replacements.
It's also the same defense that loss to Denver and Dallas at home and SD and KC on the road this year.

If Ivory ran on us what will Beast Mode do? I'd rather face GB all day. The more physical team usually wins in the playoffs.

Ivory only had 53 yards rushing.

Other than one 16-yard run he averaged 3.7 yards per carry.

As I said in the other sky is falling thread, we're getting way too far ahead of ourselves in my opinion. There is a whole lot of football to be played against very good teams for both clubs first. It's way too soon to assume that either team will be in the Super Bowl, and if that is the case we'll know a lot more about them based on those four playoff games.

The Seahawks are a great team, maybe even "scary"... but let's remember who they were facing yesterday.... a third string QB with 225 pass attempts, completion % of less than half of that, 8 picks and zero TDs.

I don't think they're as unbeatable as people are hyping them up to be... in fact I think the Boys are going to give them a real dogfight if that matchup happens in the NFC.

Pitt's offense is very good. Their defense - meh. I wouldn't exactly bet the house they're beating the Pats in Foxboro.
