The Patriots vs Jets POST Game Thread

Where are you getting Gray went down with an injury? Reiss said no Pats players left the game with an injury and he hasn't said anything different to this point. I'd assume that 6 carries for 5 yards is enough to get you a seat on the bench.
Umm, maybe where he was seen being looked at on the sideline and saw no more action all game? I don't give two ****s if Reece missed an obvious ding to a rb. Again,I was playing host this weekend and apparently was more cognizant of the gabe than you or Reece...

A blowout would have been nice. But winning by 1 point is nice too. The Jets needed only 3 points to take the lead and possibly win and couldn't get get thanks to a nice sack. 1 point is too much too overcome for that Jets offense.

Tough game but they won. But the offensive struggles are not just for this game. Since the GB game, this offense and line have struggled. Not like a december pats team , more like a september/october pats team . From my untrained eye, the issues with this team are similar to the past. They have no WR to stretch the field so teams which can congest the short portion of the field and pressure brady and dare the pats to throw team are going to give us a lot of troubles because our WR depth is average and has tough time getting open one on one. Of course opposing teams need to be able to do it. But the concerns of the oline and WR depth are back in focus and are real IMO . Hopefully connolly gets healthy and as does vereen and that helps pats dictate the tempo a bit.

Offensive staff did a real poor job mixing up the depth and timing of the routes. IMO, they did a poor job of getting the ball out of his hand quick at times and then going back to the intermediate passing game. Bad job by the staff, no clear plan. Why leave your almost 40yr qb back there with sh!t protection. They needed to mix it up and keep them off balance somewhat but were unable to. Staff needed to do a better job in my opinion. But a win is a win. I actually thought they could have used more empty, but with no Edelman they were limited. He also would have helped with some slip screens, but it is a win!

Look at season stats and then get back to me....
Lol. No one here thinks Geno is remotely good. But if your criteria for being a Pro Bowler is putting up more than 16 points, Brady only did marginally better.

Boo hoo. If you take encouragement from this debacle then you're a fool.

I take "It is what it is" from this less-than-perfect game. The best teams know how to find a way to win. The Jest threw everything they had at Brady, as they're a division opponent, so they know the playbook to do it. We still came away with the W. We've shown this season we can beat the best. THAT'S what I take encouragement from.

There's a difference between constructive criticism and just *****ing. You're doing the latter.

Did i say that was my criteria? He said we made Geno smith look like a pro bowler.....

Uh...ok. You know more than Mike Reiss, the Pats beat reporter who was actually at the game. Whatever you say.

Did you watch the game? Did you see Gray sitting on the table with trainers? He didn't return...

Yes. I watched the game. I've also now seen /multiple/ Pats reporters saying the Pats came out of the game without any injuries.

That was a HORRIBLE throw by brady, don't blame lafell for that one it was going to get intercepted if he tipped it or not. ther ewas a .1% chance that ball gets caught

Was 100% not Brady's fault. Try again

Whose fault was it? Because if that was Lafell's fault We must be talking about different plays, because brady's throw was off by about 2 feet, and was already at lafell before he turned around and would have been able to adjust.

Just saw the game, and wow didn't expect this close of a game. Kudos to Hightower and Collins for big plays throughout the game. The sack to knock the Jets out of a easy FG was HUGE.
Getting a little concerned about the offense especially the OL. Looked like Cannon was getting beat a lot. Hopefully Connolly gets back soon, Kline did not do so well. Also would like to see the offense not struggle so much in the first half. But right now defense and special teams are doing enough to mask the offense struggles.

We all knew this game was going to be hell. Division game. Team fighting hard for their soon-to-be ex-coach who has a long track record of dialing up defenses that give this team fits.

Don't discount luck as a necessary ingredient to becoming a SB Champ.

Exactly. One only needs to look at SB42 and 46 to see luck plays a role in SB winning
