Blount out.. Get ready for a lot of GRAY

Chris Price made a good point, Vereen usually does well against the Jets. He typically does well against defenses with aggressive front sevens because teams over pursue and allows Vereen to have plenty of room to run on passes in the flat. In the first Jets game, he had 114 all purpose yards and 2 TDs. In 2012 in the second game vs the Jets (he didn't play them in 2013), he had 133 all purpose yards and a TD.
He does perform well vs NYJ.

My concern is that hes dealing with an ankle injury that - to me has him slowed a little. Would rather see him rested but if hes healthy enough to play so be it.

Again a defense like the Jets? I agree.
Jets have a good run D but it's not dominant. Pats ran for 5 ypc in the last game and would have ran it more hadn't the Jets not dominated ToP.

It was 4.2 YPC and the Pats had 63 total rushing yards and that included an 8 yard end around by Edelman.

Bad math. Need more coffee:)

Maybe 6 carries for 5 yards will ease the calls for his immediate induction into the Hall of Fame. ;)

Do we have a RB that has earned the coaches trust?

Remember those that wanted Gray to get more than 50% carries than Blount?? He was a bust today. A one game hero.

He only had six caries today, its not as though he got much of a chance

Lol. hes gotten more than 10 carries in 4 games this year. He has been very effective in 3 of those. Today, he had two successful goal line carries, a four yard gain, a play where he got tackled as soon as he took the handoff, and 2 other carries where he looked like Blount, ****ifooting up to the line. I believe all of these carries came either on first down or at the goalline, when the Jets were playing the run. Most of the carries also prominently featured josh kline. For many reasons, I wouldnt bury him off this one game.

I wouldn't bury him but I never made him the star

Saying he should get carries over a career journeyman like Blount is far from saying that he's a star.

No I am sorry he was mediocre at best today, and all of you that had been saying he was much much better than Blount, and who told us what an idiot BB was for playing Blount ahead of him were wrong. You will of course come up with other excuses and hide the fact you said it over and over again but it is true. He is mediocre. That is what the coaches saw and that is why Blount plays ahead of him. Hopefully he will get better as he matures, but as of right now, Blount is a better runner fess up and live with it.

This is of course why he was on the practice squad for most of the year and why no one else picked him up, but, right now, he isnt better than Blount.

Hell Bolden looked like a freaking all pro when he ran, unlike Grey.

The o-line simply didn't do any favors for Gray today

Although I will admit on just one play, Gray could've abandoned the direction he was supposed to run and cut up into a wide open hole.

Oh, wait, you mean the Oline has something to do with the running backs production??? That is crazy, next you will say the other team's defensive line might have something to do with it also.
