The Patriots vs Jets POST Game Thread

The offense has been average for 15 of the last 16 quarters. I'm a bit concerned.
Division games. SD & GB on the road. 3 offensive starters out today. I'm not too concerned.

You'll see the same kind of game next Sunday. BUF is in contention and their D has been playing excellent since October.

"Better to give up a 20 yard pass than to let Geno Smith run for 5 yards."
- Bill Belichick

The Defense was not the problem today.

No, the defensive strategy was though. This D could have and should have shut the putrid Jet offense OUT.

True but the other guys get paid too.

*in before, "Jets players don't earn their paychecks"

We won, as I suspected we would have trouble because of coaching and execution. We were lucky not the sign of a SB champ. Let's hope for some help from Ciinncy because Buffalo has our name on their lockerroom door.

I'm excited to be up in NE next week and just got my Stubhub tiickets with my son for the game.

Buffalo has OUR name on THEIR door?

Those loudmouth LB's jabbered on last game in their house and the Pats cleaned up on them.

I'm PRAYING they woof some more this week.

Edelman,Connolly, Arrington and Blount (who ran roughshod on this same defense last year in the finale) should be all nice and rested for the Razor next week. Other than Gray's ankle/foot, I saw no sign of Patriot injuries in this game.

All they have to do is win the game and they have a one-week bye. I see a Patriots team that should be ready to run through a wall on December 28th.

The defense was a part of the problem, until the Patriots realized what every other observer of NFL football already knew: Pressure Geno and he folds. Leave him back there, and he can play a little.

This is true but it was concerning early on when we blitzed and Geno found his outlets for yardage/conversions.

Good team win, I have no issues with it being close, was hoping for a blowout but wasn't surprised how it ended. I'm not worried about this team moving forward, it's a dam good team

KT just had beautiful catch for Oakland...

We need Connolly back next week if Denver wins. Buffalo will eat us alive with that patchwork O line. Glad they were able to scrape out a win but boy was that ugly.

Welcome back. and back again.

We're you down long enough to see if there is anything on the other side?

First time, he went to hell.
Second time, he went to heaven.

He came back both times, because he found out that Hell only serves light beer, and Heaven doesn't have NFL season ticket due to a pricing dispute with DirectTV.

The O-line will get a chance to redeem themselves against another solid D-line.

The defense is capable of winning a game for us or giving us a much better chance (though you would think they would have dominated Geno smith and not make him look like tony Romo).\

Special teams didn't come through today and that's unusual (definitely a down day for them between the penalty on Amendola's 40 yard return being called back and the unnecessary roughness on the punt where the fair catch signal was called -- though I thought there was a slight push by the Jets defender, but probably not enough).

All in all, winning is the only thing that matters. they still given you a single W if it's by 1 point or by 50.
