The Patriots vs Jets POST Game Thread

This defense just keeps coming up big every week.

I am very relieved that the Pats eeked one out. However I am very nervous about this offense. The play of the OL has regressed in recent weeks which is a pretty major cause for concern. We thought they were getting it together but the problems have resurfaced. Can't afford that this late in the season.

per espn/nfl:
Offensive line struggles: One reason the game was so close was because of protection struggles. This was not the finest day for the Patriots' offensive line, as the Jets made life challenging for them. One in-game adjustment of note was the benching of left guard Josh Klineat halftime. Kline was starting in place of injured Dan Connolly, but in the second half the Patriots inserted rookie Cameron Fleming at right guard and switched Ryan Wendell from right to left guard.

Yes OL is still an issue. Better pass-rushers will cause issues, come playoffs.

Missed Connolly today

I'll say. Hes worth big money at as DC in the AFC East.

hope he leaves the division, lets not kid ourselves our schedule would get significantly easier if rex takes his act elsewhere next year. No matter how bad the jets are, they always play us tough

Brandon Bolden is another unsung hero of this team. An inconsistent offensive player, but he has physical talent. Also very good on special teams.

Didn't he get that holding call negating Amendola's huge return? Up and down for him.

I'd sit Gronk out too. Rex Ryan is a scumbag. A fat little rich kid spoiled loser scumbag. His team is only playing to injure as many Pats players as they can illegally or not. That's what he means by getting his "best". I'd max protect, run, run run run and run some more and on D blitz early to rattle Gee-moron. The point to this game is to, firstly, get out of it intact and healthy.

That being said, the Pats will probably do the exact opposite. McGenius will come out throwing every down and sending Gronk into the area of that idiot rookie Jet safety that can't play. All he knows is how to dirty hit low at the knees so McD will give him plenty of chances. Why? Because this is what the genius does.

On D we'll sit back in a BdB soft 3/4 per orders of BB and Kerley will catch a dozen balls on Arrinbgton's replacement. They'll let Gee-No! get some semblance of rhythm with zero pressure and then when they DO finally send some blitzers, he'll run for 1st downs.

Attack Attack Attack!!!! Blitz blitz blitz early and often...chuck the receivers at the LOS. Run blitz the a and b gaps.Play aggressively!!!!

but I doubt we'll see that.

So what did they do? First series...THREE PASS PLAYS..and out. They let Gee-No!! sit in the pocket the entire first half.Kerley burned them just like I said he would. They played soft zone defense over and over in the secondary. There was no need for this close of a game....but, for some reason they did exactly what they SHOULDN'T have done with this putrid Jets team...again.

Take the win, throw the entire garbage tape of this fiasco and crap can it. If a fan can call the tenor of a game the day before then, jeezus, maybe this staff should rethink their pregame strategies. You have a suffocating man secondary. You have beasts in Hightower and Collins. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!!!! Open the damned game by establishing at least the INTENT to run the ball. So sick of this "genius" McD asshat offensive plans.

It is maddening. 6 of the last 7 games vs these guys have been decided by 3 points or less.

The end of the season points are hard to come by. At the beginning of the season you can take your chances and let it fly. As the season comes to an end, teams play cautiously. Any mistake can cost you a playoff spot. Plus it's the friggin Jets. They are built to beat us! Too bad for them, they cant even do that.

As the Jets say, "Kewl, we can draft another QB! This one will be awesome...for sure!"
