The Official Patriots vs Jets Game Thread

I hate sucking against the Jets...

The lack a talent at WR and on the OL is being exposed today.

Pats staff better figure out a way to overcome this somehow this half.

Let's not overreact to one half of football.

With that said, BB needs to remind these guys at halftime that this game could be the entire season. If Denver is allowed to leapfrog us for the top seed, we could very well lose in the AFCCG again.
This isn't one half of football.

Yeah, they need to run to set up the pass. Either that or go with a lot more really short passes to make that their running game.

The jets are doing the same thing they always do vs Brady..flooding the short routes and letting their good front four get home. Bubble screens will get destroyed by this defense. If the Pats can't get at least one pass pro down where they can go deep that jets defensive philosophy won't change.

Let's hope the second half is like last week. The Pats slept walked through the first half last week and dominated in the second. Hopefully, we see a repeat performance.

What's frustrating is the Patriots ability to make Geno Smith look like a competent NFL QB. Any QB who has 4 seconds to throw will look good. Throw a few friggin blitzes at him.

Four first-half sacks of Brady,. Major malady of Pats offense has been lack of separation for receivers.

people forget about our offensive depth beyond gronk and edelman.

This is exactly why I was concerned about a major change to our offensive production, should one of our only 2 WRs go down.

As you stated, there just isn't adequate depth, and it's a problem.

Kind of wondering why we don't see more Tim Wright? One would think that a game like this would be the perfect situation for him.

This offense has been putrid on the first half of a lot of games this year and McDaniel has to do a better job of preparation. This team will not win a playoff game if this. Is how they will come our in the first half. D is fine the offense is keeping them on the field

If you think the Jets 4 sacks are about the Jets DL play you're an idiot. The offensive line is falling apart and nobody is getting open.
When a team is rushing four , and getting pressure, that's GREAT DL play. You don't watch the Jets DL much do you?

Terrible first half. Can't blame the receivers. The OL is giving them no time to get open. The Jets DL is beating them up pretty badly.

McDaniels needs to commit to the run and screens next half. Set up the medium / deep pass rather than trying to force it since the OL is struggling.

No HFA = No chance at another Lombardi. To all u knuckleheads saying this game doesn't matter.

I just don't understand why people always look past this game?

It absolutely baffles me.

CBS is going to have nothing to say when Jets fall apart in the second half. I think we'll get tim wright involved.

The Pats have killed them in the last few games with screens to Vereen in the flat (well, the last few games Vereen has played). The one time they used him today in that capacity, he got 9 yards. Need to use him more.
