Please post your comments, knee jerk reactions and insightful observations regarding today's 2014 week 16 game vs the New York Jets Please do not start other threads concerning or during today's game as they will be merged or deleted.

Game time is 1:00 PM ET at Gillette and will be televised on CBS.

Please read Ian's thread, which is a sticky, week regarding conduct on the game thread. Please act accordingly if you want to be around for future games. :cool:http://www.patsfans.com/new-england.../threads/new-thread-requirement-read.1112402/

Today's weather is supposed to be cloudy and in the upper 30's for the game. The winds are forecast is to be around 7 MPH.e.

Let's hope for a good game, with no injuries, and a Patriots victory.

Minitron out...but it's ManeriTyme! ManeTron!!!!!!

I do expect the Jets to give it their all today. It will be important that the Patriots start fast and keep the intensity level up all game, so the Jets know they have no chance of an upset.
This is an important game. A Patriots win will game them a bye. A win combined with a Bronco's loss tomorrow night in Cincy ( not out of the question), will give the Patriots the #1 seed, and they can treat next weeks game as a pre-sesaon game if they want.
No matter the outcome the Jets still suck.:D

Burning question - will Gronk be able to dig deep and finally steal that kishka? :D

Indeed!

Greetings one and all from the French Alps where I'll be sweating bullets all the way through (DAUGHTER: "Daddy, why are you so uptight -- the Pats are up by 21 points" ME: "You don't understand how fast things can change in the NFL").

Echoing Mr Nutter again, no injuries and a big Pats win, please.

Look for a fast start today ( for a change) and then there will be no looking back.

Last thing I want to see is any kind of dogfight at all with the Jets even thinking for one quarter that they have a chance of keeping it close going into the second half.

Let's get it done early please....

I have faith in Amendola, Dennard, Gray, Tyms, and Wright. Bring home the W.

Let's destroy the Jet's morale early!!!! Get off to a good start and they will be done. One step away from home field advantage. We should be able to get a few turnovers off Geno today and one last time we beat Rex before he gets fired!!!!!

Judging by posts on here and r/Pats if I didn't know any better I'd think the Pats were considered the underdogs in this one.

Can't wait to see you be a negative nancy again if its a close game. It's a divisional game. hard to predict

#Patriots inactives: Edelman, Blount, Arrington, Connolly, Alfonzo Dennard, Jordan Devey, James White

Doesn't speak highly of James White and Alfonzo Dennard that both are inactive on a day when Edelman and Arrington stayed home.

Maneri making his first appearance after being twice released. Along with Fleming, some end of the line blocking available even with Gronk in the pattern.

Dennard inactive even with Arrington out.

I'm a fan of Butler's potential, but I'm surprised BB still prefers him over Dennard. This would have been a good game to build back Dennard's confidence.

Fleming and Maneri active. Ground and Pound today?

dennard was a decent #2 last year now he can't get on the field ahead of malcom butler. lol
