Great article about Welker (OT?)

This guy is dead to me. Didn't respect Bill when he was here, dropped important balls in critical moments, then signed with our rival in that order. I wish u good health Wes, but go **** yourself.

In general I agree, however, in regards to the dropped balls, WW had a solid hand in the Patriots success.
I think WW has earned the noting of his overall production here if his drops are mentioned too.
But yes, he can now drop every pass thrown to him for all I care.

It was a good article/interesting read. What it didn't report is what can be concluded given the sufficient time that has elapsed: WW made a bad decision leaving the Patriots.

Brady's quipping to Welker about setting him up with Gisele's "friends" is hilarious. The curtain has really come down the past year or so.

He's seeing a neurologist 2X/week. Wow.

As for him leaving -- he trusted an agent who was giving him what turned out to be bad advice. It happens. I can't root for him on the field, of course. But I'm not angry.

How can this guys keep going with all these brain injuries he has suffered, I'd love to see him keeps playing but he might already have done too much damage to be able to

Considering Manning doesn't utilize the slot WR the way Brady does, Welker could have held every Franchise receiving record (minus TD's) if he had stayed. Not to mention, he was extremely popular around here, he could have gone the local TV route after he was done with the game. He made a horrible decision.

I loved what Welker gave us the years he was here. He's not perfect and I easily let that drop go, especially when I consider all of the games that he basically won for us singlehandedly.

The big thing I take away from this article is that even Elway was surprised by how few concussions Wes had before Manning had a chance to breathe on him.

How many receivers throughout the years as Brady really left hung out to dry the way Manning let guys like Welker, Collie, Gonzalez and Clark?

Did Branch, Brown, Moss, Patten or Givens ever had concussion problems? Not saying they've never received one with Brady, but those guys seem to be doing alright...Edelman missing today's game is the only one I can remember.

Exactly. Hell, Edelman might have gotten his concussion by the way he fights for extra yards and takes awkward hits in the process.

I have even noticed that we don't throw Gronk passes up the seam as often anymore.

Sad really because here is no doubt this guy will have issues when he is 45. I like him but I'm not a fan either, yes he did great things in NE but failed in the playoffs. I wish him the best but I think he is kidding himself and in for a long road one day, it's sad.

Maybe because Im older maybe because the Pats have won 3 SB and have been great for a long time every year, but I cannot get angry with Welker. He was incredible with the Pats, hes a little dude who fought for every inch in his whole life, he exceeded what most people thought his limitations were, and I think there is no doubt his will suffer brain damage and have a horrible future due to that. Just cannot get mad at the guy, wish him the best appreciate what he did here, and hope if we play him again he catches NO passes and get destroyed.
