Jay Cutler benched

Geno is worse, so no.
The only good such a trade would be is it would cost the Jets valuable draft pick(s).
He'd continue the suck, no question about it. He may be good enough to get them around .500 on a regular basis, and would probably beat the pats once every other year. B he would also carry that dumb ass contract, limiting ability to sign some of those talented young dlinemen. Throw in the fact he would cost a couple high picks...what's not to like?

Heh. The Day that that Trade was made, I called it one'f the stupidest ever. I said then and I say again, now: The Broncos may've acquired Kyle Orton in that Trade, but they still got the better QuarterBack.

...And they also got 2 1st Rounders and a 3rd Rounder thrown in!!

The Broncos could've built a Dynasty with that Trade...Instead, they drafted Tim Tebow!!

No way!!

I like to joke ~ sort of ~ about how I'd have to get a Pick or three in addition to a guy, to even consider letting a Team dump'm on me...But no less than Adam Schefter is now reporting that that is probably precisely what it would take for the Bears to get rid of the guy they just dumped $126,000,000 on!!

The Quote, if you'd understandably rather not click on FaceBook:

"Several NFL executives believe that it’s possible for Bears QB Jay Cutler to go from being benched to becoming a first-scenario, test-case trade.

Never before has a team trading a player also had to give up drat-pick compensation to get rid of him. But some NFL executives believe that with any team having to absorb $25.5 million worth of guarantees in Cutler’s contract, the Bears might have to package a decent draft pick to get another team to take him.

NFL rules dictate that nominal compensation must be exchanged between teams, but it could mean another team surrendering a late-round pick to Chicago for Cutler and a better pick.

Such a scenario could enrage Bears fans, but to get a team to take on so much guaranteed money that could be used on valuable free agents and contract extensions, the Bears just might have to compensate a team with more than Cutler to do it."

Cutler for RGIII!
