Sounds like "no respect" was the mantra Rex gave his players this week.

“They don’t honestly respect us as a franchise,” Willie Colon said. “It just doesn’t seem like we get any respect. And maybe it needs to be earned. Respect is earned, it’s not given.

Well, duh! Nobody in their right mind actually respects that franchise, for a multitude of reasons. And if the players feel sad about Wrecks' shaky job status, they should have considered that many weeks ago. Idiots.

Jokes aside, this game is going to be a lot harder than most people think. The Jets are going to 110%.

News Flash- It's not just Foxboro that doesn't respect the Jets...it's 31 other teams. I'll bet Oak,Jax and probably Tampa doesn't respect gang green* (at least Oak and Jax have serviceable QBs- albeit rookies but ones with a bright future)

I agree. If we get up on offense, it could be a blowout, of course, but if it's a grinder at all we better be ready for a real tough game. Evidence enough in the first game. We need to be prepared to tackle and get them off the field and on offense........respect the clock, of course.

Let's do the math. The pathetic Jests aren't half the team the Patriots are but let's give the benefit of doubt...

1/2 = 50%

110% x 50% = 55%

The Jets will give us better than half a game Sunday with The Squirrel likely out

Then it's BOOM Shakalaka!

I still think this is a blow out.Rex is saying to his team we are going
to do this and that, but deep down he and his coach's know if the
Pats to this they are screwed.

Their defense might keep the score down for a while but they can't score themselves. Pats still win by 10-plus.

Lol! In Foxboro on a short week they made it 27-25. There were several factors in a rather poor Patriot defensive showing, obviously. If circumstances around these teams were a little different, it would be considered a true trap game. But this is their superbowl, so you can expect a few tighter spirals, better tackling, broken tackles, and spectacular catches here and there from the Jets.

I think the first half will be like a MIA game..a 6 or even 3 pt game...but after half..i see them going on a tear with adjustments

Well, since that's exactly what the Jets would want, I hope you're wrong. What is it about the Jets secondary we should need a half to adjust to?

Of course this game is personal for the Jets. It's not as if "professional" was an option.
[grovel] Even when on my game I could never top this! Well played!

With apologies to PC's mom:

Jet man, don't be girly, Kerley!
Pats gonna give your team a swirly!
...

Pats defense outscores them. Fifty burger getting ready to be unleashed on a hapless embarrassment of a franchise. Geno manages to throw two picks in a dozen attempts, one goes back to the house.

Some of those players didn't choose to be on the Jets (draft). Those who took the offer/contract have only themselves to blame (unless, of course, it was their only chance to play in the NFL).

The only reason the Jets are dangerous is that they have nothing to lose. And maybe some of hope to put some highlights on film for their post-Jets-Washed-out contract (not that they washed out with the Jets, just the Jest washed out on league play). This includes Rex. This is their superbowl.

Given all, that I hope we demoralize them prior to half-time. Time to amp up that killer instinct and match their intensity and then raise it up a notch.
