As a holiday surprise my husband bought me and my 16 yr. old son tickets so I am going! Probably not going to do much tailgating, but looking forward to seeing the stadium as I only went once before, to the old one! Now debating whether to wear my Pats gear. Probably will.

Enjoy it Deb! I'm happy for you and know you'll represent us well!!

Thanks PJ! The last time I went to a game at the old Meadowlands I had one of those times where the people in front of me kept turning around, covering their ears, and eventually moved their seats (LOL, this has happened to me in multiple locations, including Gillette - it's actually embarrassing and I usually apologize, but I just cannot shut up during a game, no matter how much I try to rein myself in. As soon as a big play happens, either way, decorum goes right out the window. My mother once told me I was scaring her when I was watching a game with her). Hopefully I will be better this time, but probably not. I don't want to antagonize anyone, I just can't help myself.

Just try not to yell anything "inappropriate" when the Pats misfire on a play

New one is ok. Nothing great IMO. Lacks....just atmosphere IMO. Just a stadium at that's it. Gillette has the lighthouse..open end ect. I kind of like that

Are you tailgating or know of anyone who is? I am not finding out much. I know there is a big party Saturday evening but haven't heard about anything at the stadium Sunday.
No I have not heard to much about tailgating I'm parking in lot J.

We will half to meet up down there. I'm pulling this off in a day trip so we will be leaving the NH around 5am.

A few weeks ago in Gillette when I did not agree with a penalty called on the Pats I yelled, "YOU SUCK REF" really loud and a father & young son in front of me turned around. Whoops! Keep in mind that I am a frumpy mother of 4, LOL.

Latest weather outlook is good for game day. No rain, light breezes. 39 degrees F.

Be careful. I once saw a game at the old Meadowlands with a fan that refused cover his colors. We barely got out of there in one piece. If you do wear your colors and you get hit in the back by flying bottles/cups etc..., don't turn around. If you do, you'll immediately get pelted by more. I don't know if it happens to folks in the uppers decks, but if the home team loses, there will be plenty of **** raining down on those in the lower decks wearing Pats colors.

That happened to me at the Dolphins game in Miami in 2010. Someone buzzed a full plastic beer bottle at me and it just nearly missed my head. I turned around to people screaming and flipping me off but nobody took credit for it. Then, in the third quarter, as they were piling out the doors, my cousins and myself, as well as the other Pats fans in the area, started singing "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, GOODBYE".

In 2004, when we lost, I got sucker punched in the back of the head walking back up the stairs with drinks and snacks. The guy that did it was in his late 30's while I had just turned 18.

I came to NJ a week ago for the game and to visit family I have a ticket but now I have a sick dog. The dog will take president over the game, so I am disappointed but things could change. Today it is 40 degrees and sunny. Rain is been delayed until Monday.

Don't take this game lightly Pats. Be aggressive and alert. Jets will want to impose injuries on Pats.

Hopefully your dog makes a full and speedy recovery. My dog is basically my son.

I've always worn Pats gear in NJ and haven't endured anything more than the usual razzing one would expect, and almost all of it while walking in the common areas. I've never had a problem at my seats. I do make it a point never to be disrespectful of the other team (even if its the Jets) and when I make noise, its to cheer for MY team, not razz or berate the other team or their fans. I also try to engage my knowledgeable area mates in general football talk, and thus create common ground. Also it doesn't hurt that I'm 6'1 220, and was born with a natural "don't F with me" aura that's allowed me to go into a lot of places safely one normally wouldn't go over the years. ;)

So, if you don't start yelling "the Jets suck", you'll probably be OK. Its a strategy that worked for me in NJ,. Philly and Miami, since sadly, I've been to far many more Pats games on the road than at home since the Krafts have owned the team.

Still waiting for your call, Zeusie :D

An Eagles fan would have killed you
