Heard there was a major noreaster on its way for game time.

Means the jet will have 56 plays on O and run it 54 times. No way geno can pass in weather with our CBs. Put everyone in the box

Pats just gotta hold onto the ball and not put in on the ground unless it's a gronk spike..then it can hit the ground

Be prepared to mute your TVs for this one, Solomon Wilcotts is doing the game.

Not sure the Jets even give a **** anymore. Our players should dump the Gatorade on Rex after we cream them.

This is by far the crappiest team the Patriots have faced in months. 3-11, rain and wind in the low 40s should keep the fans away. I know I'd be giving my tickets away. There won't be a lot of energy in the stadium.

The Jets' offense is the lamest one they've faced in 2014. The Patriots defenders have had to get up for a long string of excellent quarterbacks and receiving corps. What are we looking at here? Geno Smith, Percy Harvin, Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley and TE Jeff Cumberland? RB Chris Ivory is pretty good behind that line, but how do these guyys score points?

Eric Decker is the Jets' top receiver with 62 catches for 720 yards. I hope he brings his suntan lotion for his visit to Revis Island. After that, the next best receiver is TE Jace Amaro who is out. What a mess.

The Jets are good defensively against the run, so expect Belichick to challenge the OL to pound away with Blount and Gray, and set up play action. They're 6th in total yards allowed with 330 yards allowed per game, but they give up 5.5 yards per play. Their top pass rusher has 6.5 sacks. The Jets can keep this one close unless Brady gets hot. It would be nice to see him have a big game statistically.

I just hope the Patriots don't play down to the level of the competition, and they come out of this one with no injuries.

RH on jets

I think one of the strengths of Rex Ryan is his ability to motivate his players and really give them perspective. And he’s been really good at that, getting the most out of his players,” Harrison said. “As bad or as crazy as that may sound, I do believe that Rex Ryan is a heck of a football coach. Sometimes the in-game management is off a little bit — he doesn’t have that as a strength of his coaching ability. But at the same time, he’s one of those guys, he can motivate you, he’s very emotional, he cares about his players. So, he can tell his players, ‘Look, we’ve had success against the guys. We feel like offensively they don’t have the weapons they had before. Yes, they have Rob Gronkowski and some other things, Tom Brady, but we can compete with guys and we can beat these guys.’ Just like you said before, ‘We’re not afraid of the Patriots.’ He’ll have those guys pumped up.

I see this like the MIA game.close at half..and me yelling..but 2nd half the can't keep up

Weather.com says rain, low 40s and 10-15 mph winds. Yuk!

That's not good Tom Brady weather. That's weather that could make this a much tougher game than it needs to be.

This game should be a Patriots blow out victory but who knows in divisional match ups?

Unlikely to be a blow out unless the team quits on Rex. If we get a big lead early, that could happen.

More likely is that once again Rex will out game plan us with his defense. It's not just his super bowl, this one is for his career, and it's his audition for another chance at a head coaching job. I expect the ultimate Rex Ryan game plan, and he's had a history of success vs the Pats offense.

Can't really see them scoring much vs our D other than through lucking out on high risk plays. But if their defense frustrates our offense and gets a turnover or two, this could be a struggle.

I'll be happy with any kind of win.

Reminds me of the second game against Mangini's Jets in 07. That game was 20-10 if I'm remembering right, and that team was still crushing most opponents at the time. Combinations of bad weather and division opponents can really randomize these types of games.

I understand that the the last 5 of 6 games Pats/Jets have been decided by 3 points or less but lets be real. That is the only way the Pats lose- if they go into cruise control...

Harvin is playing with a shredded ankle and Wilkerson has turf toe. If both play, they will be less than effective.

i don't know who throw out "trap game" or why, this isn't a trap game. any game between the Pats and RATS is hard faught. i expect the jest d to show up and make it a tight battle for at least a little while. and i also could see some trick plays from wrecks

The ref for this game is a rookie, Brad Allen. Calls nearly twice as many penalties on the visiting team as the home team. Here's his crew's stats...

Looks like open season on Brady and if the Pats retaliate, THEY will be flagged first.

It is a dangerous game and the Pats need to be up for it (1st round bye on the line & holding off the Broncos should do it), but I just cannot believe Geno Smith and his crop of mediocre WRs are capable of beating the Pats at this stage of the year. Stop the run & we should (fingers crossed) win.

That's the one where the media was asking Bob Kraft if we would need to put an extra digit on the scoreboard in case the score broke one hundred.

Jets fan are so lucky! They play two Super Bowl every year... That makes me feel jealous
