Cortland Finnegan calls out Tom Brady "he must be dreaming"

Unless Brady tires of the yearly beating he will be playing for quite some time to come. His arm is as strong as it has ever been and he really is a better QB now than he was in his mid twenties. With the game moving towards complex sub packages as the new "base" the value of the smartest and most experienced QBs will only go up , And they don't get any smarter or more experienced than Brady. As long as his arm strength and accuracy hold up he will be playing QB for the Patriots, and I will wait until I actually see deterioration before considering whether the end is coming. Age alone is not a factor.

I don't understand how these players have such a false sense of reality. You aren't good. Shut up

He's talking about Brady playing to 40 and beyond. No matter how good a player is if they've been in the NFL until they're 30 they're certainly going to have an idea about the type of punishment their body is taking.

I don't think the guy's talking ****, but whatever. It's a player from another team talking about our QB so unless it's a nonstop verbal **** sucking you guys are going to be super offended.

Ehh I can kind of see what he's saying about getting hit at age 40 and beyond.

"But I'm not sure at age 40 he wants to take a blind-side hit and get back up."

If Solder is still there
If anybody is still there. I don't care what kind of preventative maintainance and cutting edge exercises and diets you do, the body does not heal at 40 and beyond the same way it did in your 20's and 30's. Like it or not, Finnegan (who is a punk) has a point.

Brady's dream is everybody's nightmare ;)

I think brady realizes this too so that's why he's trying to be more mobile, to go with his already good pocket presence.

Not sure it was meant as an insult. I think just the thought of someone playing as well as Brady into his 40s sounds crazy to a lot of players that know the time table.

Some QBs do it (Favre, Testaverde, Flutie)

Others don't

My guess is that Brady will be fine with taking the hits.

This is one of those comments that I really need to hear the tone and context before I criticize the guy for it. I can easily see this being a tongue-in-cheek kind of thing. One of those, "I feel bad enough on Monday morning as a defender at 30, and he wants to get tackled at 40?"

Now this is a blindside hit.

I'm in better shape at 41 than I was at 31.

Also, many more people want to hit me these days.

Finnegan, Begin again!
