No, you ignored the fact that the Jets were one stop away from the SB.
Not just the Colts. One other team had to lie down for them, although I forget who it was.
If the Jets were terrorists they'd try to blow up the Meadowlands with Irish Spring liquid...but then that would presume they actually KNOW what liquid soap is...which, of course, they obviously don't.
If we apply the "one stop away" rule you advocate here to the Pats, we'd have either:
Every time you post here you provide more evidence of how deluded, ignorant, and desperate the Jets fan base is.
- no Pats SB wins (if applied against us)
- 10 SB appearances in the past 14 years, and 6-8 SB titles (if applied in our favor)
Funny you should mention the Jets as terrorists. Apparently they drafted one

Please don't bring this cr*p here. There are more appropriate places to express this kind of thing. And these issues are much too important to be dealt with in a sports message board.
Hold on! That most definitely IS appropriate for this thread. Did you read the article? It's a Jets player causing serious controversy off the field because of his ethno-political alliance and it's being tolerated by the organization. I, for one, wouldn't have known about it otherwise. 1960Pats deserves credit for an interesting find. Let's not be overly PC here. Please don't bring this cr*p here. Sorry if it bothered you, but it was a joke in response to Joker's "if the Jets were terrorists" comment. It couldn't be more appropriate.
Why don't you send me a list of what else you consider cr*p that shouldn't be dealt with in a sports message board. Maybe rape, child abuse or wife battering are more acceptable topics.
Can we at least agree that the Jets still suck?

Get off your misguided high horse, you're making no sense. WHO is having a freaking "political conversation"? This thread is about dysfunctional Jets culture. 1960Pats simply alerted us to yet another example of it.Anything that causes a distraction from football and invites political conversation is cr*p here. It only leads to us divided against one another, when the real issue is that...yes, the Jets suck.
Bah. My friend, YOU are the one turning this into a "dreaded political conversation." Of course there is more than one side to every story. I don't care which side you might believe is wrong or which side 1960Pats believes is right. A Jets player is involved in controversy off the field. Regardless of why, it should not be considered "off limits" to discussion here.OK, Tune, you keep poking, here's the best source of real information on this guy:

Even here, in this dark corner of the internet, we have some responsibility for the quality of civil society. People, even Jets, shouldn't be attacked through lingering bigotries that get oxygen from intentionally constructed, inflammatory misinformation like what was posted here.

Bringing further attention to the NFL’s ongoing struggles with head-trauma-related issues, an anonymous survey published Thursday by ESPN revealed that multiple players from the New York Jets lied about suffering from concussion symptoms to get out of games this season.
Further proof there's more than one kind of head trauma going on down there.Speaking of damning, and obviously completely true, media reports on the Jests:
Report: Jets Players Lied About Concussion Symptoms To Get Out Of Games
