I would venture to say that Vereen has been a liability this year. We have no threat out of the backfield on third down. I yearn for the days of Kevin Faulk and Danny Woodhead. There are mid-round draft picks who are probably going to be better coming out of school.
James Develin higher than Ayers and Chung? Really? Ayers is a very solid player who is still coming into his own with a decent organization, and Chung has his weaknesses but has played great this season at a hard=to-fill position.
Is there any reason to believe that Bryan Tyms is any better than most practice squad players? He is Tiquan Underwood material, probably won't be on a roster next season, since he is a project that doesn't develop. Take away ONE wow-factor catch, and he is our typical speedster who does nothing and then is out of the league in a flash.
