Ravens sign Casey Walker off PS

The PS claiming description in the link above isn't clear about the process. When the Ravens placed a claim on Casey Walker, how much time did the Patriots have to activate him before he became an employee of the Ravens?

Is there an unlimited number of trips between the active roster and the practice, or is there a contractual limit as there is in MLB for being designated for assignment to the minors?

I don't think that it was necessary that Walker bring something that Wilfork, Siliga and Branch don't. That's never going to happen.

Walker's a JAG who you admit brings nothing to to the table that the other three don't do better, so why are we lamenting his loss again? Because he's big and fat and young?

Everyone's mentioning Siliga, Branch, Wilfork and Easley - didn't see Jones mentioned. They've got 5 DTs...4 if Easley can't go. I thought Walker did okay, but just okay.

I don't mention Jones because he's a different style player than Walker. Easley is as well, of course, but he is brought up because his injuries mean he could have been he could have been IR'd to make room for Walker.

OK on Jones.

Walker was fine here. Clearly the team feels that the players you mention are either better today and/or have more upside.

Walker was #6 on the Pats depth chart, I believe - everyone seems to be forgetting about Chris Jones.

Probably but the intel doesn't hurt. Im one that believes that intel is useful.
