Fort Sill OK...in January.

When I enlisted in August and found out I wasn't shipping til New Years, my first thought was that I was going to get to see the entire regular season :D
I remember we used to get game recaps from the boys at the laundry mat in our squadron. I was so pissed when I found out the Giants beat us again at the very end of the game in the regular season lol. Probably best I missed that one. But, boy did I give the Jets fans in my flight a lot of **** after we stomped them on SNF. That was a nice day.

I hold SOME hope that if the Pats make the Super Bowl, we might get to watch (provided we earn it). I've already made provisions for the playoffs to be DVRed so I can watch them whenever I get a chance to get back here on leave.

And yeah, that Giants game blew...didn't miss much there.

Anyone know if any of the seats are covered (in case of inclement weather)? I live in NYC now and would like to go. Been to a couple of Pats-Jets games a few years back at Metlife and wore my Pats gear. I was commended for being a "good Pats fan" and was told I was "allowed" to sit in my seats. I responded that I didn't need permission to sit in a seat I paid for...

I'm considering going depending on the price and weather. I live 45 minutes away (Stamford, CT) and am looking for tickets.

As a side note, I've been to MetLife numerous times but never for a Pats/Jets game. Would it be safe to show up in Pats gear, or does showing up undercover a safer choice? I'm not the guy who starts **** (god knows that at 37 I'm too old for that stuff), but I don't want to get into trouble with the local asshats. Opinions?
I've been to a few Pats/Jets at the Meadowlands and wore my Brady jersey. You may get taunted, but basically by the time the Jets are out of the game, they will just be quiet.

Yeah who knows, we didn't get TV time and I've heard marines do, no idea about Army but best of luck to you.

I showed up in my Moss Jersey when i went in '09 and my buddy in his Brady jersey. He got no crap from the fans until the pats lost. But even then i was just called a Dbag by a 65 yr old and a Boston scumbag by a jersey guido. I jumped when pats scored ect and nothing happened. If it did i would have LOVED to get those fans kicked out.

They act tough but won't do a thing. Now eagles fans...and SF fans..are a different story

Guys, I just purchased two tickets (me and the girlfriend) for the game. I found a nice blog post showing the seats under an overhang. Hope this helps get more Pats fans to go!

If the weather is bad, the best seats in the house to avoid the wrath of mother nature are located under the overhang behind both end zones. These sections are 121-131, 101-106, and 146-149. The overhang covers rows 36 to 45. These seats are best when weather conditions are less than optimal. If you rather rough it out while watching the NY Giants or NY Jets, rows 1-35 should have some great deals available.
