Interesting, when I go to either the Miami Herald or Sun Sentinel I don't find anything about this story. The only person that seems to be interested in making a big deal about this is Ben Volin. Volin grew up in Florida and was a Dolphins beat writer for several years, and discounts responses to him that Collins was off the line.
He also tweeted out a picture of what he believes was a missed PI call on Browner. I didn't see any mention from him of what I think was a missed block in the back call on the long punt return that set up Miami's only TD of the game.
Sorry to sidetrack this thread, but I wish there was an ignore thread button just for anything to do with anything that Ben Volin said. It's amazing that he could acquire a job covering the New England Patriots for the Boston Globe.

Or the fact that Miami's second FG came after an indefensible DPI call on Browner. Shocking!
Ben Volin is such a huge downgrade from Greg Bedard & Ian Rapoport, how could they get an appointment so wrong?
With nobody else seemingly not mentioning this at all it could just be another case of Volin making up crap for attention. Has he ever got a scoop right? Total hack, not worth the time of day to read anything he has.
Can you, or anyone else, enlighten me as to why the Patriots would get " a slap on the wrist" or any other sanction after the fact? Isn't the officiating crew responsible for the error if, in fact, it occurred? What am I missing? It looks to me that he's close to but not past the point that the rule permits. If a closer review of the images reveals that he was too close, then he was too close. It is what it is. Successful teams play the game aggressively, right up to the limits of the rules. Sometimes they cross the limits. If that happened, the Pats will get a slap on the wrist. Deal with it.
While the Dolphins could try to argue that the play had an effect on the "momentum" of the game, it's pretty hard to sustain that argument when you consider that they didn't put up a single point in the second half.
The league has, in the past, acknowledged official's errors. So, if they concluded that the play had been miscalled, it would probably be more accurate to describe it as a "slap on the officials' wrists," not the Pats'.Can you, or anyone else, enlighten me as to why the Patriots would get " a slap on the wrist" or any other sanction after the fact? They should send video to the NFL of Joe Philbin's "Deer in the Headlights" look in the second half! Lol!
