Woah, was anyone else surprised by that? That was a Stafford/Cutler/Rodgers throw. That caught me off guard.

Between that bomb pass and attempting to truck a safety like Newton, maybe psycho Tom can play until 45+:D.

Thread Ignore ON

(I just hope Ian doesn't have a count limit on these)

???? The throw that wasn't completed??

Give the OP a break. It was a hell of a pass, off by millimeters. i wish they'd use Tyms more though, to get him loosened up. I don't really see what one bomb every two games accomplishes.

Tyms beat that guy like a drum too.

he was about a foot off on that throw, would have been a beauty, but the tackle would have happened right after the catch.

Considering Finnegan played about 15 yards off the LOS it's impressive he was able to beat him at all.

He should have dived for it.

I was in section 121 row 16.. Saw that pass right in front of me. It was a really nice throw and was hoping he could have pulled it in. Would have been a great catch

OK, I'll ruin the thread. If the Patriots had a burner who could snag a ball thrown in a 5 yard radius, instead of a guy cut by 3 or 4 different teams, Brady would be throwing bombs all the time. OK, there, I said it. A little more speed and the ability to adjust (what you expect from top dogs) and that's a TD.

He should have dived for it.

I actually thought the same thing, although that's awfully easy of me to say from the comforts of my couch.

I think the OP was impressed that Brady could throw the ball 65 yards in the air?

Thus the theory of his decline might not be as true as many in the media had hyped it this year.

Do not want to sound "felgery", but that was predictable.. the only time they go to Tyms is on a long bomb.

The Pats need to develop more of their receivers prior to the tournament.. too much focus on Gronk, Edelman, LaFell and Vereen...

Brian Time almost caught that one no?

I wish they would use Tyms more. His situation is similar to Gray IMO.

I don't understand how the Pats use the bottom of depth chart players. What do these guys have to do to get more snaps? Tyms looked great in preseason...granted it was with Jimmy G...but he showed he could be a vertical threat and made some tough catches down the sidelines which is exactly what the Pats need. Then he finally gets a shot in the Buffalo game and Brady makes an awful decision to throw into triple coverage and Tyms comes down with it. Then he beat his man last game. What more do you need to see?

Maybe it's because throwing the deep ball isn't Brady's strong suit or maybe it's because he doesn't know the offense...but it'd be nice to see them try to integrate him more into the offense. If Lafell goes down (and he's looked a little banged up lately) who are the Pats going to turn to? A combo of Edelman/Amendola? Ugh.

If there is a question with Brady's long passes it is not arm strength, it is accuracy.

Surprised? No. Maybe that's because I have Brady's nearly complete bomb to Moss in the closing moments of SB42 forever burned into my memory, taunting me. That was one of the longest throws I've ever seen, and if it was 3 inches further, it would've been the greatest play in the history of anything that's ever been played, and the world might've instantaneously imploded from the sheer ridiculousness of it.

I've never questioned Brady's arm strength. When he has a guy who can get separation and present a viable target, he throws a good deep ball.
