I rarely post, altho I have been around for a bit. I am a fan from the Grogan days, so I've been around a day or two. Tickles me to see the Pats level of play this year. Thought the D took a while to get on track, but they are as good now as I was hoping they would be.

So to the topic of this post. I have seen something manifest itself in the packers, chargers, and now the dolphins, games that bothers me. Brady has had a lot of passes batted down at the line of scrimmage. Seems to me that his offensive line just isn't up to snuff. The O line isn't pushing guys off the line of scrimmage and not keeping them engaged enough if they have time to wave their hands around to block passes. I'm thinking if the O line was playing hard, those defenders would find themselves on their back if they were waving their arms around.

I see that as a potential problem, especially should they face the pack again, or the seahawks. I see seattle as the biggest danger when it comes to SB opponents. Anyone else think this is a problem?

In the playoffs nobody will come into Gillette scared or overwhelmed. It will be a matter of scheme, execution, adjustment, and mental toughness. This team is special. They understand that the game is over after the last whistle and not before, and have showed mental toughness.

We've all seen that disappear on the biggest stages - but it bears saying, in SBs, it really hasn't been the D that disappears. ()*#$&%&* helmet catch stuck in my head again LOL.

Solution: Run the ball more

I think Zolak said its Brady's mechanic.

I've maintained that the Patriots can beat anybody anywhere when they play up to their potential in all three phases. There is not a playoff team that scares me at this point because this is IMO the most complete Patriots team I've seen in a few years.

Be that as it may, the Patriots (like every good team in the NFL) can be beat if they fail to bring it for 60 minutes in the playoffs, where the intensity is seemingly magnified tenfold.

Themselves (meaning the bounce of the ball, untimely penalty, drop, turnover, etc)

I say it's the Bills. If we don't beat the Bills (and Jets for that matter) we will lose home field. If we lose home field then we don't even make it to the super bowl because we cant win in Denver IMO.

Offensive line becomes porous, . Brady sees shadows and gets happy feet. Injuries. They don't run the ball when they should. Lack of a true outside threat. Can't get off the field on 3rd down.

Gronk's health.

If he is 100% for the potential next 5 games, I don't see them losing at home, in NY or on a neutral field to any other team in the NFL.

Start quick. No turnovers and keep 3-outs very low.

Injuries, o-line play, refs
