What's the biggest surprise for you about this year's team?

There a few pleasant surprises that stand out for me:

- Bryan Stork solidifying the line
- Brandon Lafell emerging as an outside WR
- Jamie Collins continuing to improve and be an impact player

But I think the biggest surprise is Patrick Chung. He went from a guy who I didn't think should be on the field to a guy who looks like he belongs.

The biggest surprise to me is Chung closely followed by Wilfork's level of play. I didn't expect him to be as good as he has been coming off that injury.

Offense: Stork - a 4th round center in a complex offensive scheme
Defense: Chung - i thought he was done, Browner - way better than i thought. Hightower - he seemed like a stiff player, he looks like a pro-bowler this year

All of those are good choices. I'd go with Chung. I expected so little from him... Wilfork : thought a man that size getting injured (and older) would be in decline. He might not be Vince of five years ago, but he is plenty close. Impressive year for so many defenders.

LaFell.

All of those comments plus Gronk playing to was has to be %90+ . He's just simply beastly good!

My biggest "surprise" is key contributions from guys nobody thought would be on the 53: LeGarette Blount, Jonas Gray, Akeem Ayers, Jonathan Casillas, and Alan Branch. Plus Deus' item, which I will not mention further.

The loss to Kansas City. It's been some time since a Bill Belichick coached team looked inept.

LaFell and Chung's play are the most surprising to me.

I was down on LaFell, had low hopes for Browner and no hopes for Chung.

All three of those were extremely pleasant surprises.

Amendola.

Oh, you meant a GOOD surprise. :D Definitely the secondary as a unit. This is the first time in YEARS I can remember having hope... even confidence... on 3rd down.

Chung being valuable followed by Blount being back on the roster.

Unpleasant surprises are that White is a complete non-factor and for some reason Dennard is not good this year.

That Dave DeGuglielmo was able to piece that mess together we saw the first 4 weeks. It isn't perfect, it stands on stilts and leaks at times, but it's holding. Dante is a tough act to follow.

How much I love this team (and the fact that many in the media had written us off and now we are i nthe drivers seat for HFA).

Positive surprises:

Brandon LaFell at Wr being a legitimate outside threat. He is a lot more athletic than i thought he would be.

Chung playing so well in this role. He showed glimpses of this in half a season before having his bad years. All credit to him.

Akeem Ayres: What an impact pick up especially with the loss of Mayo

Wendell: Being a servicable RG

Negative surprises:

Dobson: Injury related but it's a surprise it took him so long to get back on the field
Dennard: I thought Dennard would be a strong piece in our Nickle.
Vereen: Not a knock on him. But i thought he would have had more production this year. He hasn't run as effectivley as i thought he would. I really thought he'd be taking a step to being that Forte type back.
