Agree that's the right mentality but disagree on the endless critique of draft picks. Every team misses and the,never-ending whining about it is stupid, especially given that he has put together a team this good. I would take Knghton as well at this point but so would every,other team that passed on him.

He's just proclaiming their determination to win it all, every player needs that attitude. I really have no problem with it and would take it over a player saying they hope they will win every time.

I can criticize the pick ...... 3 chances at connor barwin only to wind up with butler and brace was pretty inexcusable.......I've been livid from the very moment it happened......a true you have got to be f*cki*ng kidding me moment

BTW, that's the only draft I have an ongoing chip on my shoulder over......

He still said they're winning it no matter what. That's basically a textbook guarantee. A goal is saying "we want to do this" which he said the second time around. The first time around he definitely said "we're going to do it." unless the transcript was written incorrectly.

For years, people mocked BB for being tight lipped, uninteresting in front of the mic... but now, somehow, because of the very technology (MyFace) and media he proclames to hate, BB is a player's coach. A bizarre metamorphisis - don't say anything you'll regret has become the envy. He was mocked "How can answering a question hurt?" They'd say. BB was ahead of the curve. Knighton may not have said anything inflammatory. But the fact he needs to respond to it takes away from his goal.

BB just learned from his experiences with the media in Cleveland. Such as the handling of Bernie Kosar.

What went down there w Kosar ? I need context. He replaced him and botched the handling ?

Sure. It really doesnt matter. Just fun media fodder . If they beat us its not because he guranteed it and if they dont its not because of this either. Nowadays every bit of speak is picked up and posted as 'bulletin board material' .

Maybe. But their local media is as obsessed with HFA and not going through new england like our media is not going through denver.
Even bob costas asked wilfork last SNF about how big the chargers game was to avoid going to denver . The players themselves dont care or are scared. The hyperbole from the media and fans adds to it with constant barrage of questions.
