If you are thinking of going to the game: do it! Way cheaper than seeing them play at the Razor. And who knows, maybe it could be a little like the San Diego game in terms of Patriots fan presence.

Since there is no way I'm subjecting my four year old daughter to that environment, I would have to go it alone, or perhaps with people from here. I went to the game in Charlotte alone last year, and it was really fun (other than the fact that we lost). Lots of Patriots fans sitting near me.

Not cheap enough, All I'm seeing are $70+ for the worst seats in the house.

I'm considering going depending on the price and weather. I live 45 minutes away (Stamford, CT) and am looking for tickets.

As a side note, I've been to MetLife numerous times but never for a Pats/Jets game. Would it be safe to show up in Pats gear, or does showing up undercover a safer choice? I'm not the guy who starts **** (god knows that at 37 I'm too old for that stuff), but I don't want to get into trouble with the local asshats. Opinions?

Considering the jets fans are known for sucker punching defenseless women wearing pats gear, I'm sure they have no issues with jumping a grown man.

Plain clothes only. with a jersey set aside (hidden)in the event that you are sitting with a group of other pats fans.

Worst seat in the house? In the owner's box next to Woody Johnson? Imagine having to sit next to the Jets' owner and explain to him what is going on with the game all game long?

free booze.......I'd do it

I would make a point of puking all over the place in the start of the 4th quarter........nasty mix of hot dogs, sushi, scotch and tequila

It would have to be a lot of free booze. And the good stuff. Not the cheap off-label stuff that Rex and the coaching staff guzzle at halftime to get through the second half of the game.

Yes, wear your Pats gear. Green Beans fans are wimps.

nachos with cheese sauce soaked in patron........chili dogs soaked in mcallan........all over his lap

I was in the BofA box in Gillette for a sunday night game once......it's like that.....tons of free everything and good stuff too........beef tenderloin sandwiches, sushi, you name it.......you can make a mess of yourself as well as the general vicinity

Hmmmmm.....I'll be in New Jersey next weekend too...

But I'm two weeks from shipping to Basic Training...can't get arrested for kicking the **** out of a bunch of Jest fans.

I did it back in '07 for opening day and wouldn't recommend it.. Picture 60,000 drunken a-holes.....
On the flip side, I went back with my kids (mid teens) for week 17 versus Giants in prime time and reaction was totally different. The fans were of a much higher class...as in they had jobs and most of their own teeth....The only a-hole that game was a runt of a Pats fan who was taunting Giants fans and running back to his friends who were 6'4 to avoid getting pummeled. He came over to us since we were wearing Pats jerseys and the conversation went like this.
a-hole: " You Pats fans?" (no, I always wearing a Troy Brown jersey to Giants games)
me " Yeah"
him" Go PAts I'm staying at this hotel nearby, the XX, I got a great rate so when I get drunk I don't have to drive."
me" You know why you got the good deal? It's probably because of the serial killer they had at the hotel there last year. They caught him. I think they did, whatever.....
him (turning pale and walking away) "oh"

Any weather may play a role... http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/multiple-us-winter-storms-christmas/39058689

Hmmm. Does the ticket price include a complementary decontamination shower after the game?

Unfortunately, no. You will leave the stadium feeling soiled. Although, drinking plenty of water afterward will help eliminate toxins absorbed from breathing its air and eating Woody's concessions (which is not advised).

I attended both those games as well. As I was leaving after we trounced Mangina's Green Beans, a Jets fan said to me, "Enjoy the Super Bowl."

Really, wearing your Pats gear there is fine. If anybody gives you crap, give it back to them and they'll slink off with their tail between their legs.

Just make sure it's bottled and not Jersey water...Hell even their Governor roots for the Cowboys and not one of the teams that play in his state..............

Man I wish I lived 45 minutes away, I would go for sure. It's about an 8 hour drive for me, and the plane tickets are around 600 bucks each. I should have planned this a couple of months ago. :( Too late to start a Kickstarter campaign?

In my limited experience going to see us play the Panthers, and talking to people here, it seems people are more civilized the closer you get to the field (i.e., more expensive tickets). The closer to the nosebleeds, the more fights and such.

Via train, I'm less than an hour away and I may actually go if the weather's really bad, as it has the effect of keeping the lowlifes away and true fans are all bundled up...in addition, it decreases prices as people dump tickets...

TMI, but appropriate in this case.

Where you off to friend? I missed most of 2011 season in San Antonio for AF basic training. Still have nightmares every now and then of going back haha
(because of missing the Patriots of course ;) ).
