Brady NEEDS the money? Did I read that in this thread? a serious statement?
jeez...he's MARRIED to a woman whose net worth is 320 million dollars. Even if he didn't boast a new worth of over 120 million, he certainly wouldn't be a man in need.

In a way—at least as far as this argument is concerned—it'd be nice if the issue were that simple.
The problem is that in this article, Brady suggests not that he still has two or three good years left in him, but the possibility that he might legitimately have another decade or more left in him.
No QB that I have ever heard of has tried such a combination of methods to extend their careers. Given these advanced methods, new rules protecting the QB, the reduced salary that Brady has shown that he is willing to play under and that athleticism is such a small part of his game, he has a better shot than any previous QB to really push the age boundary. I don't know if he'll be playing at 45, but it wouldn't shock me. For him to be a Patriot at that age, his salary requirements would have to be very low.
All I know is that I don't want him to retire the same year as Peyton because when they are both inducted to the HOF, if it's at the same time, you know who the media will fawn over........
