The 2014 Edition : Jets continue to suck (what else is new)

In one of the most hilarious moments in sports, the Jets win, I mean lose the Mariota bowl. Their fans who were hoping for a number two pick are now going to have to settle for something like a 6 instead.

Despite all of this, they nearly managed to lose at the last second.

Once again, when it comes to the JEST...even when they win, they lose.

So now TB,Tenn (both who need QBs) have 2 wins as does Jax and Oak (no need but willing to trade to team that needs qb) you have 4 teams who would draft ahead of NYJ. That leaves Wash and Jesters with 3 wins but I don't know who wins that tiebreakers...As the last poster noted, no Winston or Mariota for them.....I so wanted to see Winston in the environment that is NYC......what could possibly go wrong????

You never know, they can pull a ST Louis to WASH rg3 type of trade

you just KNOW that Woody is going to clean house ...can everybody...EXCEPT Toe Sucker. You can almost taste it. Almost want the Pats to lose next week to cement the deal. Woody would use that to publicly prop up Ryan and the circus stays in town for another couple of years as Wrecks gets to coach up HIS new draft class. It's all there in the making.

They still could. Woody Johnson may be becoming desperate enough to trade a couple more #1 and #2 draft picks to move up for Winston.

With a Titans/Rats match up and draft position at state, it would seem to be a "no win" scenario, as the Titans took a loss and the Rats lost by winning, but then there are the New England Patriots not only winning the AFC east, they got the Titans 6th round pick, which they hold, sweetened by the rodents' phyrric victory.

I forgot all about this. It's like a 5th rounder.

This franchise just SCREWED its self again. We won't be ending up with cooper, schreff, winston, or Mariota. I hate this franchise.
Take heart. You still might get Winston!

Winston is going to be a very good Quarterback. We can still end up with Mariota or Winston, I'm not sure TB or Tennessee will take Quarterbacks

TB and TENN are taking QBs. You have to worry about the Raiders and Redskins for QB3. Jacksonville's obviously hitched the wagon to Bortles, but:

OAK is going to clean house, and the new HC/GM combo may be smart enough to decide that it's a good idea not to keep all of their eggs in the Derek Carr basket.

WAS may be ready to move on from RGINT, if Gruden doesn't get the axe.

Oakland's not taking a Quarterback, how many times do I have to tell you this? I'm not worried about Washington; Schneider is obessed with RG3. There are several great pass rushersmin this draft, and I think Tampa may take one. And there isn't a QB 3 going in the top ten this year; everyone though Manziel, Bortles, and Teddy would be top ten picks at this time last year; only one of them was picked in the top 15. I'm not worried. If we miss out on Cooper, and Mariota or Winston, I'll be fine with Schreff, Ronnie Stanley, or Shaq Thompson.

heh...you'll be satisfied...until the first buffumble...and then it will all be rinse/repeat time again...as it has the past 45 years.

Do you watch college football? If not, I suggest you stay out of this conversation.

Tell me as many times as you tell us all that the Jets will be winning a SB in the next 5 years.

So obsessed that he didn't stop his first year coach from benching him.

Tampa's taking a QB. Their current starting QB is a 35 year old journeyman.

And there isn't a QB 3 going in the top ten this year; everyone though Manziel, Bortles, and Teddy would be top ten picks at this time last year; only one of them was picked in the top 15.

Never underestimate the lure of a QB. As a supposed Jets fan, you should know that. The Jets bit on both Sanchez and Smith, after all.

I'm not worried. If we miss out on Cooper, and Mariota or Winston, I'll be fine with Schreff, Ronnie Stanley, or Shaq Thompson.

I'm not worried, either. The Jets are a dumpster fire, and they're not getting their QB unless they find a partner willing to let them trade away about 100 picks.

Multiple SB winning Quarterbacks have been drafted in other rounds. Ronnie Stanely, Shaq Thompson, and Brandon Scherff are all good players, who can step in contribute to the OL and pass rush. If we suck again, which we will most likely do, Connor Cook (if he doesn't come out this year), Jared Goff, and Christian Hackenberg will all be in range.
