I wonder if Pettine - or perhaps ownership - figured that at 7-6 the Browns weren't going to make the playoffs, so let's give Manziel a few starts so we can make better plans in the off-season.

They can somewhat tank with manziel for the last few games and get higher draft picks for next year. Need to draft a decent QB, TE and hell a whole new offense bar josh gordon.

This is about the usual time Manning gets intercepted.
