Am I the only one that prefers Gray to Blount?

I don't know where you are going with this. You posted the title of the thread saying you would like to see Gray over Brount. I have said that I don't have enough confidence in Gray to make this move because I haven't seen enough of him. I have also said he should get more than 1 carry a game. I don't care if he gets 50% of the carries as long as he is doing well. What I can't accept is replacing Blount with Gray today as you suggested in your title of this thread.

Someone else started this thread, not me. And not a single person every said that they wanted to see Blount off the field altogether, so you've been arguing against a point that was never made. That was the source of my confusion.

I'm even more convinced after today.

Blount would be a very nice end of 3rd qtr and 4th qtr RB to preserve as lead. Gray helps the offense move down the field.

Today nearly drove me insane. I was screaming for Gray. And I dont care what some people say (those in the Game day thread will know). They Played a lot better with Gray in the game and minus one negative run all of his other rushes were for positive yards. He out-rushed Blount and looks better. They need to get with the program and use him more

I think that the offense moves better using Gray. He hits the holes he's supposed to hit and he seems to have better vision than Blount.

Also, I think that Gray might have better hands for the passing game than Blount does, in all honesty. He had that nice snag then turned to pick up 3-4 more after the catch..

I feel like a certain orphan asking for more porridge when Gray only gets 1 or 2 carries

I still think Blount is the more talented runner but I do like what Gray did today. At this point, the kid deserves 10+ carries a game.

I was at the game yesterday, and it just seemed that when Gray came in he provided a spark to the offense and hit the hole hard. Blount had a good game, but it just seems that Gray was really getting more yards and running harder. It is great to have them both. would just like to see Gray get more time

I don't care which we use as long as

A) it's not Vereen between the tackles and
B) we use Develin
This can't be stated enough. I'm really starting to worry this garbage with Vereen inside and hooman but no develin coupled with a general aversion of the run is going to cost us a playoff game.

I think Blount is a good rent a player that you need to not commit yourself to......hopefully he signs somewhere else next year and gets cut so we can bring him back in november if we need him

"Might we have another carry from Jonas Gray, sir?" ;)

I am a big fan of Gray's and I think he is going to be a great back for the Pats for the next few years.

That said, I do like what we have going right now in terms of running back rotation...

Blount pounds the middle and gets shortage, Gray gives you a little more burst and hits the hole well and Vereen is the change of pace guy who can either run it or catch it on the screen or even line up as a wideout...

NE signed him to a 2-year deal, IIRC.
