Does anyone on MIA scare you going into Sunday?

The team handed us a pretty good beat down in Week One, or at least in the second half, so I see no reason to think this game is a sure-thing. They are playing for their season.

Couple reasons, pats record in December, division can be clinched, pats are at home, this isn't the same pats team during that week 1 melt down.

No game is a "sure thing" but there is little reason to think the first game has any predictive value heading into this weekend.

Brady and the pats for whatever reason always struggle there vs them. At home it's usually much different and lets hope that continues

Tannenhill's ability to extend plays and Cameron Wake. Cameron Wake destroys Nate Solder. Goes around or through him.

At this point Wake is Solder's Jason Taylor.

Who else do I fear? Skippy McDaniels, calling way too few running plays, again.

Anyone being covered by Chung or Ryan

Edit: For the clowns who disliked this. Feel free to put me on ignore, but quit being little girls about jokes, and try actually watching a game.

lol.......i want to dislike this out of sheer principle......but im going to refrain because i have a tender heart

The individual would be Wake he wants Brady Along with the spoiler mentality of the entire Miami team, nothing to lose.

Watching the opening of the Fins game against the Ravens, they looked awesome. Miller ran brilliantly, Tannehill was sharp and mobile, Wallace, Landry, Clay and Hartline were perfectly adequate receivers and they imposed their will on the Ravens defensively (three or four consecutive three-and-outs).

Then, of course, they fell apart. Which team will show up? I don't know, but I'd be darned careful about taking them lightly.

Wake, obviously. Vernon is pretty good too, and Odrick is good. Aside from them, Misi's decent, Grimes is excellent, I could see Clay being a major issue, Lamar Miller has looked very good this season (although I'm not too worried, since our run defense has been great these past few weeks). And I could see Tannehill giving us some trouble with his legs, if we let him break contain.

The Dolphins are a legitimately talented team. Luckily they're also kinda dysfunctional and poorly coached.

Absolutely agree. What I constantly harp on is that division games are almost always dog fights. It's the exception to have a blow-out game against any of them. The problem is that each team sees the other one twice a year. You get used to their schemes, players, tendencies, etc, over time. So there's that.

I have a ton of respect for Miami. They nearly pulled out a win over the Broncos this year. They'll be bringing their "A" game, or whatever is left of it, up to Gillette this afternoon, and New England MUST be ready. The division title is there for the taking today, and the Patriots really need to win out these next three games as insurance of keeping the #1 seed.

I am, as they say, cautiously optimistic about today's game. I would DEARLY love to see a convincing win, but would not at all be surprised to have a much closer game that we think.

Doesn't Wake almost always go up against Vollmer?

Yes- I asked my Mass State Trooper buddy to find Cameron Wake and have him help on a Toys-For-Tots drive today. ..;)

I'm surprised BB hasent found a way to handle Cameron Wake. In the past he has found ways to basically neutralize other guys as an example Suggs, Von Millet etc..

I have a feeling this is going to be a decisive win for NE, but wouldn't be surprised to see a dog fight either.

I agree that Miami is bringing their "A" game. No doubt this is the most dangerous game of the last three. I also think NE has something to prove themselves and think in this situation it isn't a good setup for Miami. Much at stake for NE and they know how important each of the final three games are.

Go Pats!

The one thing that worries me is with the Dolphins' entire starting LBing corp out of this game, they are thinking of starting this guy:

Good to see people aren't waiting for the game day thread to trash McDaniels. The McDaniels bashers are already in post-season form. That is great about this team. Everyone is in playoff mode from the head coach and the QB to the message board chicken littles.

Jason Taylor?
