Broncos resign Chris Harris Jr. 5 years 42.5 million

Well Talib is now hurt as usual this time of year..so he is getting teams #1 the past few games

Not to nitpick too much, but wouldn't that be against two vertically challenged teams in the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs?

Incidentally, KC does not have a receiver with a touchdown this season, I think.

Talib was only missing for one game if I am correct? 1.5 games if you count the game he went out and back in and out again?

You Americans really need to catch on to your sarcasm...

Yes, I've seen unintelligent Broncos fans claiming he is better than Revis.

I really hope we do play them in the postseason. They'd be our easiest matchup. Harris would undoubtedly be abused once again.

Which game are we talking about? 2013 regular season game or 2014 regular season. I used pro football reference box score to assist me in finding all of Edelman's catches. Only one of his targets was against Chris Harris for 4 yards while Edelman was in motion. It was a 3rd and 6th and Chris Harris made a great tackle. I did not watch the entire game but I saw Chris Harris on Amendola a lot, and when Amendola wasn't on he was on Lafell with some Edelman, Gronk. This is more than likely skewed having not watched the whole game but it doesn't sound like Harris was on Edelman much unless the times he were Brady didn't target him.

I think comparing Harris to Revis is comical but I am curious to just how good Chris Harris really is.

Not that PFF is the gospel but Harris has been an elite CB by their grading. Take this with an obvious grain of salt. I personally think their grading for CB is decent for the most part. It has Harris as 5th best in 2012, 8th best last year, and best this year. Again, grain of salt, but he is an excellent CB with or without their ratings.

I think so long as you expect Harris to be decent this is a great deal for the Broncos.

Alterraun Verner was an elite CB last year according to PFF last year too.

Except PFF doesn't distinguish #1 and #2 corners. Verner spent the season doing what Harris is doing, he covered teams non-#1 corners, because Tennessee had Jason McCourty on the 1's like Denver has Talib on the 1's.

He's our Arrington who we all hate/hated paying 4m or Browner who we're paying 5.5m. Except they're paying Harris 8. Awful contract, good player, but way overpriced. He hasn't had to be the #1 in atleast 2 seasons now yet he's making more money than many elite corners.

I think its been a full calendar year since a KC WR has caught a TD pass!

And fans still want to chime in on how horrible BB is as a WR evaluator.. LOL

The inanities of the KC Chiefs WR decisions don't excuse any other team, including the Patriots.

I read somewhere that Dimitroff asked BB about the Julio Jones trade. BB told him he wouldn't do it. Too much to give up. Great advice. But added, why don't you draft Jonathan Baldwin late in first. Oops

You can have your haris!!
I'd like our chances too but I wouldn't go that far. I'd much prefer Cincinnati or Pittsburgh. Anyone but Baltimore though.

Agreed, Id like our chances but wouldn't go as far as to say denver would be our easiest matchup lol. Give me the bengals or steelers over denver and avoid the ravens at all costs.

The MIA game basically and Buff game IIRC

The more i think about it. The more i wouldn't worry about the Ravens. Their secondary is like 3rd worst in NFL and Flacco just throws it up. We have good CBs now. Forsett is an issue

Steelers have Bell who is a nightmare out of the backfield and a very good WR but we have Revis. Their D sucks though

Its mostly the mental makeup of the team. The coach and qb have won playoff games in Gillette and won't be intimidated as other opponents would be. The mental edge wouldn't be there, though I agree we match up better than years past.

Steelers
Ravens
Bengals
Broncos

All can beat the Patriots, and have in recent meetings. Give me the Colts in the divisional, if possible. That's the most favorable matchup for the Patriots.

This avoiding Ravens is pure silliness. The Ravens gave us grief because Ray Lewis and Ed Reed made sure everyone was in the right place and ready for our scheming. They're gone. They're not the same Ravens anymore now. I see other fans of other teams saying well let's hope they play the Ravens, they can knock them out. Uhm Nope! Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are gone!

Did Marvin Lewis and Dalton retire?

It's a decent resigning and all but I wonder how the hell they're gonna find a way to pull resigning Both Thomas's, and Pot Roast Knighton out of their asses.
